I don't think so, but, you can make your own one from by following the steps.

Nope doesn't work.

Will you find out how to do this on Lion?

I have followed the steps in the tutorial, but the preference pane is the same old one

I will upload the new one soon, as well as new screenshots.

Any update of kext for 10.6.8
or will any of the previous versions suffice?
Thanks.

I don't use 10.6.8 yet, so I didn't test the old one. I might extract a 10.6.8 kext using Pacifist and modify that soon.

Hi,

Anyone have any progress on getting a three-finger drag for Early 2008 Macbook Pros running Lion?

I can't believe everything else is supported on the trackpad but no dragging....

I have, will upload a kext soon (maybe on the weekend, too much work in the week, no time).

EDIT: Sorry, it will take longer than the weekend. It should still work with the old trick.

And as promised, multitouch 3 Finger drag for Lion. This kext is from 10.7.1, so I don't know if it will work with 10.7. I do know that if you manually edit the 10.7 kext it would works (tried it a long time ago).

I just noticed that I didn't upload it. Sorry.

I'm having trouble uploading it to MacRumors, so I uploaded here:

OK, for users without the patch, try this (I haven't tested it, as I don't have Lion on my MacBook Pro at the moment):

Code:
defaults -currentHost write -g com.apple.trackpad.enableThreeFingerDrag -bool YES

Tell me if it works. Thanks.

So, this won't work on a early 2008 macbook? Only the Pro? How come?

Isn't it the same trackpad, i mean it takes the same multitouch fingers on the trackpad on the macbook without the mod on the pro?

If this next doesn't work, is there anyone that is out there that works for the early 2008 macbook4.1 (not a mb pro) trackpad?

Thanks

Sorry I didn't reply immediately...

You can try it an see if it works, but I don't think it does work. As far as I know the Early 2008 MB doesn't do 3 and 4 finger gestures.

Thanks,
AnonMac50

P.S. Is "next" is that autocorrect of kext in Lion?

Thank you so much for the 10.7.2 always wondered why they left this option out on a 2009 MB Air in Lion since i know it supports 3-4 finger gestures.

No problem, glad to see it work. As far as I can tell, you're the only one with a MBA to tell me if it works. Thanks. :):)

Could someone upload 10.7.3's kext please? I tried using 10.7.2's kext but it didn't work and I accidentally nuked my original. ;)
EDIT: Or if someone has an unmodified kext, that would be helpful too...

Thanks, will make a new version (I'm away from my 10.7.3 machine at the moment)

Does anyone know if this works on the mid 2009 white Macbook? I bought mine right after they discontinued the aluminum unibody regular Macbook. I'm just curious to know if it works or not so that I wouldn't be doing this for nothing.

I don't think so. It's not the unibody white, right?
You can check by looking in System Preferences under Trackpad. If you have the gesture videos, it should work. If not, then it won't.
