iKonic edge leather cases are also very good. I had the Super slim pouch for my 3GS. It was made of excellent quality leather and looked new even after almost a year of use.

I really love the quality that Fortte offers.
I have bought other cases in the past put these cases surpass anything I have tried before. Iphone 4 leather cases

Those look very nice but the one thing that throws me off is the fact that they say 'iPhone 4 cases' (in the product descriptions as well) and yet none of the pictures display an i4. Are these cases something like a one-size-fits-all where it's designed to fit older model iPhones as well as the new one? I'm looking at the vertical pouches so that's where most of my interest lies.

I see that the Thin Pocket has a little tab/strap that you can use to pull the phone out. Is that strap easy to tuck away (and keep that way)? I feel like the case would look rather ugly with something like that always sticking out.

Does anybody have any experience with Sena?? I really like that Ultraslim pouch. And lots of colors to offer!

Some people really like them, I haven't heard anything bad. I was also considering that pouch but for some reason I just didn't think it looked like something that was worth $30.

I'm looking for a leather case that stays on the phone and has a belt clip so it's always protected yet easy to clip on your belt.

Ditto.

On the iPhone 3G I used an Incase leather sleeve.

Pros
Integrated belt clip -- super convenient, strong, and leather covered
Easy access to all ports and buttons
Very good fit onto phone
Accommodates a screen protector
Fine leather provides very comfortable grip
Fits perfectly in my vehicle's ProClip adjustable mount

Cons
Front edges are too thick and wide -- interferes when tapping far left and right
Exposed top-back corners
White stitching frayed over time -- black stitching would have looked better overall

I'm actually still using this case on the iPhone 4 until someone comes out with "the right case". The fit is tolerable, although the 'cons' are amplified.

I wish someone (SGP, Viva, Vaja, etc.) would offer a grip-style case in vintage leather with an integrated leather-covered belt clip.

I haven't gotten to the point where I'm ready to wear one of the large spring holsters (a la SwitchEasy, Seidio) although I admit they accommodate some very attractive cases. I wonder has anyone happily used a spring-clip holster with a leather grip case?

I've contemplated the pin-style clips (Rivet, HipClip, etc.) but I don't like the way the phone tilts when placed on its back. The Incase clip is wide enough that the phone lays flat, and also raises the phone a few mm which conveniently allows the dock cable to pass underneath without it tilting the phone. Another thing I don't like about the pin clips is the separate doomaflicky that has to be worn on the belt. But at least they are smaller than the spring-clip holsters, which seem a bit like wearing a phone even when the phone is removed!

Hoping we don't represent such a small market demographic that our wishes go unserved :p

Yea i like the look alot, but you're right about the price. Unless of course it's real leather?

Got a free Sprint Blackberry Bold case that my gf didn't use which came with her phone. Looks great, magnet latch, and solid rotating belt clip. (Also tried my Dad AT&T Blackberry Bold case, but for some reason, it is a little shorter in length, where the magnet latch barely made it over, so only about 70% magnet power)

Looks like it should fit with a bumper too, have yet to try though.

Noreve 'Tradition' leather case for iPhone 4

Ordered one of these yesterday, along with this metal belt clip.

Noreve's 'Tradition' case for the 3G/3GS uses a snap closure that adds a considerable amount of bulk and (in my opinion) inconvenience. If that feature had carried over to this case version I wouldn't have been interested.

But this new version for iPhone 4 uses a simple 'lip' closure very much like Vaja, SGP, and Viva. I prefer this kind of closure because it enables a one-finger flick to flip the flap. :D

I like the coverage provided by this case design. No exposed corners. Open access to all ports and buttons -- but without extra side exposure (compare the SGP pouch). Also not so crowded as to interfere with headphone jack or dock connector. Rear camera cutout looks sensibly sized and generous enough to avoid flash distortion.

I selected Sandy Vintage leather. It will eventually look more like this or this.

If you saw my earlier post it shows the kind of belt clip I was hoping to find integrated into an iPhone 4 case. Realistically I don't think anyone is going to make a case with that, at least not anytime soon. The Noreve belt clip is fairly similar in shape, and the way it's designed to lock and rotate sounds clever. Close enough.

I've never dealt with Noreve before. Checking forums for reader opinions it appears they have a decent reputation for customer service and high quality for the price.

Speaking of price, the case cost $56 and the clip cost $13. The site is designed to display prices in user-selectable currencies but I suspect the conversion rates need refreshing. The product pages showed $67 for the case and $16 for the clip, so it was a pleasant surprise to see $14 less at checkout. International shipping was $19 via UPS.

Since this is an 'on demand' order, it will be 10-15 days until ship and then 2-4 days for delivery. So it should arrive by ~ Aug-25. If able I'll post pics and first impressions.

By the way, if I'd ordered Perpetual black (shown in the pictures) or one of the other in-stock leathers it would have shipped immediately.

Forum limits me to 5 pics, I'll post pics of the belt clip in a moment.

PDair Leather Case for iPhone 4

I recommend PDair Leather Case for iPhone 4.

I think the products are located in Hong Kong, but it took only a week for it to arrive to my home address here in Norway. I have only had the leather case in one day, but I am more than satisfied with it. It fits both my phone and my hand perfectly well. And the price is reasonable too (including worldwide free shipping).

Highly recommended guys! :)

...and thank you very much for a nice forum!

I love the look of leather cases and am really interested in a flip style, but I try not to buy leather. If anyone runs into a nice case that is good imitation leather (not cruddy plastic looking), please let me know : )

Just curious -- why do you prefer imitation leather (sometimes a.k.a. "pleather") over genuine leather?

There are a variety of reasons (personal, spiritual, political, etc.), but basically it's just a choice I make. In the past, I've been able to find some lovely "pleather" cases for electronics, often made by the same companies that do leather cases, but I haven't seen any for the iPhone 4 yet. This seemed like a post where people might happen to have run across one :)

Ah, no worries, was asking in case I might learn of some technical benefit like better shock absorption or better durability following exposure to rain. :)

I have stumbled across the Melrose Kroo case. It is a flip-up style in immitation leather.

Also came across this faux leather Shinnorie case which is very similar to their leather case. Many color combos, hardware options, etc. I haven't personally tried Shinnorie, but the web site emphasizes their ability to customize construction. If you like their product in general but would prefer something slightly different it may be worth contacting them to see what they can do.

Good luck on your search!
