ElementCase Vapor 4 iPhone 4 Case - Version Two
V2 ( Version 2 ) doesn't have any major changes but still the difference between V1 & V2 is here.
As you can see, I have the Black - Red color choice.
This version, just like the previous, uses air-craft grade aluminum but I see a better finish than the previous version which is good.
What are the major differences between this and the last version?
Well, first of all this case has a cutout for the MicroSIM tray of the iPhone 4. That cutout as you can presume is on the right side, on the removable part.
The cutout for the MicroSIM tray is nicely finished. It won't scratch your tray in any way. It can come in really handy if you travel a lot and you change your MicroSIM card often. Some people were and still are complaining about this cutout which was not shown in the renders that were provided on the web page of ElementCase.
I was playing a lot with the tray to see if it will touch the Vapor 4 but that hasn't happened which is a good thing because you don't want your tray to get scratched by a case this expensive.
This version comes uses four Torx screws like the last and a little screwdriver is provided as well as two extra Torx screws in case you lose any. You can say this was a smart thing for ElementCase to do.
One thing I noticed is that the logo on the left side, the " ElementCase " logo is now " in bold ". What I mean by that is that lettering is now more notable. The logo on the right side, the removable part, the " Vapor 4 " logo is the same as on the last version of the case.
The last major design change is the headphone & mic cutout. There were a lot of complaints about the headphones cutout which had a very small choice of headphones that can be plugged in through the case.
Even the standard Apple Headphones were troublesome to be plugged in. So I guess that was the reason ElementCase had widened the cutout for the headphones and I have no doubt that it will help the mic as well.
I was into this case very much from the beginning, it's design, the colors... everything...
Some people are reporting signal issues, other report wifi issues and some GPS issues while someone are reporting all three of the mentioned problems.
I didn't notice any signal or wifi but I noticed slight GPS problems like it needs more time to locate me and it is not as accurate as it is when it's naked.

The price of this case is still the same: $79.95
