Android is a stolen copy of iOS, Google should be forced to withdraw Android

Aww dont say that. We know you're the king of the moronic debate (hi again!), you dont need to keep reminding us...we already know to ignore your silly trolling.

LG Prada was not multitouch and was touch only. Prior to the iPhone. The fact that is forgotten is that capacitive screens started to be cheap around that time and companies started to launch smartphones with that technology by then. Also, 3G data started to be cheap by then.

A study about WM being the preferred OS for smartphones by 2006? I don't have any

I have found one statistic, showing that in 2006, the mostly used smartphone OS was Symbian, around 50% worldwide, and the second place is RIM, while RIM is number one in USA.

And I don't see any Nokia phones released around that time which are touch screen.

And like I said, the first touch screen mobile phone was released in 1992. So there have been many attempts at making it since then, none of them actually took off, until iPhone. Which is I bet due to many different factors, but the most important being the first utilization of multitouch. I wonder how the hell I'd be able to use the phone without multitouch.

And LG Prada? Come on. That phone was released a month before iPhone introduction, so certainly didn't have the most "popular" form factor of smartphones back then.

Android was even more unlike IOS before they employed ex Apple employees that had inside knowledge prior to the iPhone being announced.

You were supposed to provide proof of said 'ex Apple Employees' in another thread, yet you dodged the question a number of times then stopped posting in it. You've got zero credibility kid.

Android - Prior to employing ex Apple IOS employees:

Dont steal my picture. You didnt know it existed until I showed it to you. And FYI, that is a recent picture, your logic and credibility is still 100% flawed.

That was after the Apple IOS employees where poached by Google

Prove it. Cant? Didn't think so.

Both Apple Ping and Google+ failed so far. But who knows what'll happen in 5 years.

Ping definitely failed. Google+ has yet to fail.

Why is it as if the macrumors members have formed a brigade to loathe anything and everything done by Google? There was another member that said google has never done anything innovative.

so you're saying the guy that left Apple and went to Google while he was working on the iPHone before release didn't implement his ideas or tell someone about Apple's IP at google and somehow Android ended up a lot like iOS? ok

There is no 'guy'. Our resident troll has been fabricating this crap for a while. When asked for evidence (many, many times) he conveniently vanishes until the next thread comes up.

I think both have failed, period.

And as you know, any generalization is stupid. Just because one macrumors member said that, doesn't mean all macrumors members think like that.

Google search is the single best thing since sliced bread.

I'm not sure what your point here is. "Share" seems like the completely wrong word to use for this situation. If Chevy implemented an assembly line similar to the one pioneered by Ford, would you not say that Chevy copied Ford?

Maybe if they changed it up in some ways, it wouldn't be so much of a copy?

This whole situation with Apple thinking everyone is copying them is pretty funny. To quote my art teacher when I was a little kid "Why would he copy you if he didn't think you had a great idea?"

“Consumers are well aware that there is an original and that competitors try to use similar designs, so buyers are vigilant when looking at products,” Brueckner-Hofmann said. “We don’t think that someone buys a Samsung to make his table neighbor at the coffee house believe he owns an iPad.”

That is kinda funny... :) So you want to talk about Fanboy? Android has there own too..

http://blog.laptopmag.com/readers-choice-pick-the-top-tablet-of-2011-voting-ends-1227-at-3-p-m-est

Kinda funny how a Tablet that is not even released yet is getting 64% of the votes. Not to mention its about the "Best Tablet" of 2011... which it was not even out for 2011. Not to mention Nobody in the U.S. has used it yet... Its been delayed for the second time. And Amazon has a expected Ship time of 4-7 weeks. Sounds like Fanboys on both sides of the fence. Just saying....

Idk why courts ruled this I find that "Samsung" written on the front is a dead give away that it is not an iPad...

I think your comparing Apples to Oranges..(No pun Intended) :) Ping is strictly a Social Music based network. So it is Limited to those who use iTunes. Google + is a much more Broad social sharing network. really two different beasts. They are both good for what the user sees fit. I like them both for different reasons.... :) there is room in the sandbox for all of us to play.

That makes the iPad also ugly, seeing how Apple made such an incredibly hard case saying it was a copy.

Simple logic prevails.

"Simple logic" still won't sell CRAP, bud. have fun with your word games.

It's not just a copy, it's a bad copy. Just as egregious.

I like Ping as well, but it certainly failed. Something that specific is doomed to fail. Social network cannot be specific to something as narrow as music imho.

I just see it as free advertising for the bands I listen to about their shows. Twitter is exhausting with all the crap they put on there.

Just stating the reality of the situation.

Android tablets simply aren't making the cut, even after all this time. The test of the real mettle of an OS is in the tablet segment, where the requirements go far beyond just a "smartphone" OS.

Apple is running away with the segment. Things are rapidly turning into an iPod situation.

So using logic they built the phone and OS in less than 6 months? If they did than Ill go Android because they built an entire ecosystem and hardware in less than 6 months.

That was never my point. And if you must know, it doesn't take years to make that software work.

All Google needed was a different User Interface; the backend cost remained mostly the same. Imagine this as a superset of ModalViewControllers; superset implying to operating systems as a whole and not just an application.

I wonder how you always criticise iOS, but hardly come up with anything against iOS. Sure, you're using iOS. Why not?

Fixed that for you...

You really cannot say that this forum is run by people who blindly worship the company. This forum is basically run by pro-android, anti-apple users who just spew hate in every other thread.

This isn't true at all. Just about all of the regular posters here own at least one Apple product, and rarely, if ever, have anything negative to say about said products. Mostly, they criticize Apple over their business practices, and correct the far too common complaint that Apple invented X, and Y is blatantly copying. Barring the occasional troll, about the only time you'll see a pro-Android post here is when someone mentions they like using them about as much as iOS devices.

If that's anti-apple to you, well...don't let me get in the way of your little victim complex.

OLOL AND HERE COMES THE TROLLS DERP DERP DERP.

Again;

if its a bad copy, why has apple gone apewild over the design?

Is it because it looks too much like the iPad, thus also making the iPad ugly? Or because Apple simply doesnt want competition?

That is COMPLETELY false. Is this your first day on Macrumors? The forum is actually overrun by Apple fanboys, and its been so for years. My favourite example;

Up till iOS 5 you do realize the iOS 4 was missing many features Android 1.0 had. Multitasking, notification bar, voice activation; not only that I can choose which app stores I want to use, I can also choose to change every single part of my phone if I wanted, and finally Apple doesn't dictate to me what I should or shouldn't put on a phone that I own. Why don't I own an iPhone? Because the iPhone has been the same damn thing since it came out. If the iPhone 5 is as radically redesigned like they say it is, then it will be my next phone. I see no reason why anyone would continue to shell out money on iphones for basically point updates.

Best part was in 2007 Android was already showing the Notification system APPLE stole from them last year.

iOS is not original. It is based on Mac OS which is essentially NEXT/UNIX OS with cute icons in front end. And Apple did not invent UNIX.

Apple had to copy UNIX facing dead end with its original Mac OS 9.

Now Apple copied notification system from Google Android.

Don't say that too loud or people will start reporting your post and call you a fandroid.
