It's interesting to see all the currently airborne flights out of Louisville heading toward airports all around the country. (http://flightaware.com/live/fleet/UPS?;offset=0;sort=ASC;order=origin)

What do you think the chances are that some our iPhones are on these flights for delivery tomorrow? Or do you think there could be another round of flights later today after night-time sorting?

I mostly think that even if the package progress scans were missed in Anchorage, that there would be a scan at Louisville before routing to our local destination airports.

Either way, it's interesting to see all these UPS flights going on.

Oct. 1 to 6 Delivery Date Orders (Update) Shipping earlier!

So my brother-in-law whose iPhone he preordered thru T-Mobile and not thru Apple got an updated tracking per below. Please note we live in the same household and mine supposedly got the early delivery of 9/22 tomorrow but still in Shanghai as of now. I'm hoping mine is in the same plane as my brother in law. If not, I'll steal his iPhone! Bwahahahaha!!!

I wouldn't count on your tracking magically updating and your phone secretly showing up in the USA, but I will tell you how that MIGHT happen.

At UPS we have trailer and plane scheduled pull times, but occasionally we get behind and not everything is loaded by the pull time, so the supervisor who is worried about his numbers that his boss looks at says "stop scanning packages and just put them in the trailer!"

Whether this could have happened to an entire freaking shipping container of iPhones is unlikely, but I could see it as a possibility. Still, I think it's much more likely that our phones are still stranded in China, but I'm not giving up hope for an early delivery.

My package is still stuck in Zhengzhou, and my delivery date hasn't changed from the 25th so I half expect Wednesday will be when it arrives in my home state and then hopefully keep to the Thursday delivery, probably.

For those worried that there is already an UPS plane destined for your city, your iPhone most likely wouldn't be on it anyway. Sorry, but it likely isn't. That said, it might be on the SECOND flight to your city. UPS has to send two flights to a lot of places but the majority of the overnight or international shipments are on the overnight flight (see what they did there?)

And before anyone asks how I know that or if it is a fact,

Work at Worldport is divided into two "sorts," a daytime and nighttime window where packages are unloaded from arriving planes, rerouted to their next ride and sent off again. Two-thirds of the work is done on the latter shift, between 10 PM and 2 AM.

As long as I get it before 10/1, I'm totally happy. That being said, my OCD won't allow me to stop refreshing the UPS page either until it arrives lol

Man, I was really hoping for an earlier delivery. Thursday is early enough, but my wife is due to give birth any moment and my camera on my old iPhone is shot. Also, my phone is still in Shanghai with most everyone else's in this thread, but my delivery is scheduled for Thursday whereas others are scheduled for tomorrow...

Oh well, it is what it is.

Ive stopped listening to peoples theories on these deliveries about 20 pages ago and am counting on my UPS delivery date to be accurate just like any other package I'd be receiving

UPS is showing Wednesday delivery for me too. I've noticed the same, most people have Monday or Thursday.

My delivery according to ups is 9/23 Tuesday.. I am with the 7:10pm group... After I use my choice to hold the package for pickup it doesn't show my date now..

That really is the only part of this that I find annoying at all; I want to know why some people got this better shipping method and some of us didn't. Happy for them, sad for me.

i understand even less how my phone got a delivery date of wednesday and hubby's phone ordered an hour later, shipped a day later, yet is scheduled for TOMORROW!?

both are identical phones.... so it's not that one is a different build. both came out of foxconn..... so it's not that...

oh I KNOW! IT'S EFFING APPLE AND UPS!
