Hey guys, I know Im asking super late, but what is the confirmation email? It's the one with the "Your Confirmation for AT&T Order #" subject right? probably sounds like a super obvious question, but i just want to be sure xD

I thought if you were premier it was the one that said "ATT: thank you for your order" as the subject. I never got anything with a subject you mentioned....but wouldn't be surprised if the F'd that up for everyone too

Well i went today and it was so overwhemingly busy and was going to close in 45 mins but it is possible. The rep said he has done it before and it was a pain in the ass and it took about an hour, but it can be done. He said I could just process it as a return within 14 days and get it done then. I'm still torn whether I should just keep the way it is (cause it wont leave me in a hole for now) or just go that route within 2 weeks. I figured the madness may die down within 14 days and if i decide to do it then i will but today i would have felt bad for them to have to do so much considering it was a madhouse....but on a bright note, I'm so glad i went with the plus. It was intimidating yesterday when i first held it at the store, but i am getting used to it! ATT can just suck it because all it took was me looking online and seeing it avail and it was ready for pickup within an hour

What goes around comes around. They made it a pain in the ass for us... we'll do the same for them. Plus, it doesn't even matter since it's their job to do this type of stuff for the customer.

Maybe it is, because I'm not Premier and I haven't gotten an email with the subject of what you just mentioned.

I got two different emails later in the morning. The first was from AT&T premier called "AT&T: Thank You for Your Order" at 4:36AM.

The second was from ATT order status called "Your recent ATT order status" at 8:10AM.

I would like to think my order is linked with the 4:36AM time, but could it be 8:10AM?

I am premier and have received the following emails:

1st: 9/12 at 2:04 AM CST "Thank you for your order"
2nd: 9/12 at 5:52 AM CST "Your Recent Order Status"
3rd: 9/18 at 7:58 AM CST - Second - "Your Recent Order Status"
4th: 9/21 at 5:07 PM CST "Information about your AT&T Plan" This one referenced my new plan - so it seems that this one indicates my order has been tied to a new plan. Whatever that means.

But no tracking information and my order is "Preparing to Ship" with a shipping window of 10/2 - 10/13.

I ordered a Silver 6 + 128 GB

I know we all want to think that this process is based on what time you ordered but it's not. It's when your order has processed is when it's put in line for a device. I ordered at 11:50pm pst but it didn't get processed till 9am... It's cause the servers weren't load balanced and all the early orders got stuck in queue and didn't process in a first come first serve way... When the servers became available after the millions of people were on at the same time it began to stick those orders that were in the queue to process along with the people ordering at 9am. Thus people ordering way after us could in fact of for their order processed among with ours or even before... This whole messed up situation is all on the IT dept. Of ATT and all, I mean all of them should be fired!!! It's called load balanced *******s!!

I believe this is correct. I ordered my 6+ at 11:56 pm PST 9/11/14 and I'm still waiting for phone.

One thing's for sure: They all got caught unprepared for the unprecedented number of phones that were pre-ordered.

Actually, I'm surprised and profoundly disappointed that AT&T was caught unprepared...

Certainly past history of iPhone mania is an indicator of how things will go in the future. AT&T knows how things went down with the releases of iPhone 4, 4S, 5, 5S...

They had plenty of time to plan for this...resources in terms of thousands of people and ungodly gobs of millions-of-frickin-dolllars to spend to upgrade -- to improve their online system.

Why should they have failed so utterly this time around? Just because Apple released two new models of iPhone? For the most part, Verizon seems to have weathered the storm and been better prepared to handle the onslaught of pre-orders for iPhone 6.

AT&T was an epic fail on Sept 12 2014.

It's none of that. It's the AT&T iPhone lottery... My order and confirmation were before people who got the same phone as me. None of it matters.

When was you order processed? Your order and conformation has nothing to do with you getting it before people..

But we have to remember. None of the other launches had 2 models(6,6+) 3 colors and 3 storage options..That is 18 different configurations of one launch. This has in fact never happened before.

5C, 5S, 3 color options for 5S, 5 color options for 5C, 3 storage options for each.

What happened this time is that there were 2 flagship models, one with the larger screen that supposedly many people wanted.

Um. Sarcasm. Also, I have not seen a single non-Premier get their pre-order from AT&T. I mean how early do you have to pre-order? Mine was 12:15 AM PST. Confirmation 3:15 AM PST. So while not ALL Premier members have received their iPhones, not a single non-Premier member have gotten theirs.

There was one but he could been premier and not known it

I had a similar experience during iPhone 5. However, I had chalked it up as a hiccup because we were upgrading two lines and combining the bills from my wife and I into one bill. Lesson learned... Apple preordering from now on... If I don't switch to other carrier before then. ***** AT&T

Indeed. I think AT&T was just overwhelmed. But instead of just admitting it and telling us what they are doing to get our orders shipped they leave it to their CSR's to deal with us and those guys probably just started making crap up. I know I would if I was in that situation. Whatever it took to get you off the phone after I'd just told you I don't have any further information and you kept asking more questions, I'd do.

"Your phone is still in pre-order shipment fulfillment expedited shipping status with confirmed 2-ply corrugated premium tracking. Is there anything else I can help you with? Thank you for choosing AT&T."

None of them know except the clowns with two secretaries and 4 months paid vacation every year. And even those guys can't really do anything about it.

Meanwhile, I sit here drunk and sad and checking my delivery status every 26 seconds. And drunk.

And still no info, my cancel order button is still blue, not a good sign.....

I don't think the color of the cancel order button matters. Plenty of people cancelled their orders and received an email afterward that said att was unable to cancel. They received a shipping notice a day or two after that.

Seriously tired

I am seriously tired of sitting and spinning here waiting for bread crumbs. Just give me a definite date, even if it really is Oct 2nd, just give me some thing already!!!!

I am a Premier member:

I agree with several earlier posts that the delivery sequence is most likely taken from when your order was accepted or put in the system. I ordered my 6+ SG 128gb iphone at 12:10 PST, but I didn't receive my confirmation email until 6:26. Also in the "Thank you for your order" email my estimated ship time for my phone was 35-42 days.

Anyway, I am now at the Oct.02/13 expected ship date. But I will most likely receive my phone much closer to that Oct date than others earlier confirmation email.

I am in the Phoenix area and will jump ship to Verizon if the phone presents itself at an Apple store before mine ships.

Still nothing here. Been on preparing to ship, October 2-13, pre-order processing and backordered since last Saturday. Gold 6+ 128 G. Feeling pretty low right now.
