Actually, I don't believe that the volume of phones coming off those planes is being handled real-time by AT&T. Unless it's an extremely small portion of the total volume, do you think that AT&T is processing tens of thousands of phones in a day or two?

It's pure speculation but they'd have to have a pretty tight process to handle so many phones at once. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that they are still working their way through phones that came late last week.

One thing's for sure: They all got caught unprepared for the unprecedented number of phones that were pre-ordered.

And they were unprepared for the strong demand for the 6 Plus.

I do hope they continue to process what came in yesterday and that many of us receive shipping notifications tomorrow.
 
Wife's gold 64+ shipped. Received shipment notification email from Premier at 830 est tonight. I ordered it thru premier site at about 3:10 est on 12th and received confirmation email at 6:34 later that morn. My AG 64+ still on backorder. The 877 number gave me the hint yesterday when I called. Said mine was backordered and hers was processing. Use the 877 number and if it says backordered no luck but once they say processing it should be shipped by next day. I'd screenshot but at this point it doesn't matter. Besides just got done typing a paper for school and I'm tired and have to work early tomorrow. For a 36yo Army guy, tomorrow will come real soon.

I order my wife's 64GB+ gold at EXACTLY the same time (3:10amEST) and she got tracking around 5:30pm EST today. I'm still waiting on my space gray version of the same phone to ship, but I couldn't get my order in until 3:21am.
 
Would I be able to tell at this point whether or not they charged me the $40 activation fee? I didn't see it on the order confirmation and it didn't appear on the pending cc charges. Is that a good sign that they waved them for us?

My bill is due the 26th , can phone be delayed because of a balance due ? I order right before my wife phone , we have separate accounts , hers is business primer cause of school discount, and she has already tracking . We both have 10/2-10/13 dates . She gets her phone tues !! Wtf att !!
 
I know we all want to think that this process is based on what time you ordered but it's not. It's when your order has processed is when it's put in line for a device. I ordered at 11:50pm pst but it didn't get processed till 9am... It's cause the servers weren't load balanced and all the early orders got stuck in queue and didn't process in a first come first serve way... When the servers became available after the millions of people were on at the same time it began to stick those orders that were in the queue to process along with the people ordering at 9am and so on. Thus people ordering way after us could in fact get their order processed along with ours or even before... This whole messed up situation is all on the IT dept. Of ATT and all, I mean all of them should be fired!!! It's called load balanced *******s!!

I finally got an email from fed ex## my preorder shipment dates changed three times but you guys were right those shipments to Texas pushed my shipment for this monday#. Now I don't have to wait for mid-October . For everyone that has mid October to November dates don't rely on those dates from Att. Those planes That arrive will have your baby lol just pay close attention to your emails.:eek::apple:

I doubt it. It's due the 26th so it wouldn't delay it at this point. Just to be sure, though, I'd pay it on the 26th to prevent any snags.

Haha I'm from Westfield right by you but have lived in Indianapolis for the past 6 years for school and now my job. Living downtown and constantly seeing delivery trucks was soul crushing on Friday while I was holding out hope.

I think there is a mixture of order time and location. Reports were that AT&T was pulling off the shelves from certain regions. I'm sure they were able to in larger stocked areas, plus they have to think about efficiency of shipping as well to a point.

We did seem to see a wave in Texas and then Florida so I wouldn't be surprised if our order times and area match up soon with tracking numbers. Not to mention we have a FedEx hub at our airport. I would think that would come into play eventually.

Hey guys, I know Im asking super late, but what is the confirmation email? It's the one with the "Your Confirmation for AT&T Order #" subject right? probably sounds like a super obvious question, but i just want to be sure xD
 
Let's us know how it goes. This will be my plan B if nothing changes by Wednesday, but for now I'm good.

Well i went today and it was so overwhemingly busy and was going to close in 45 mins but it is possible. The rep said he has done it before and it was a pain in the ass and it took about an hour, but it can be done. He said I could just process it as a return within 14 days and get it done then. I'm still torn whether I should just keep the way it is (cause it wont leave me in a hole for now) or just go that route within 2 weeks. I figured the madness may die down within 14 days and if i decide to do it then i will but today i would have felt bad for them to have to do so much considering it was a madhouse....but on a bright note, I'm so glad i went with the plus. It was intimidating yesterday when i first held it at the store, but i am getting used to it! ATT can just suck it because all it took was me looking online and seeing it avail and it was ready for pickup within an hour
