For people saying he is dumb for bending the phone he is going to make AT LEAST 30k for having 37 million views and counting on that video.

1. He probably got AppleCare+. Cheap replacement.

2. To all the doubters, I will believe this isn't a problem once Apple releases a video showing their own test along with videos from the rigorous testing they did when producing the phone.

It's very strange that this guy is then advertising the Moto X...

This could be a real iPhone 6+ but that the rear case was replaced with a fake one that easily can be damaged like shown.

A more credible test is to show the serial number of the iPhone, provide a good zoom, stop some random people and ask them to provide confirmation...

Otherwise what is the real purpose for this guy to destroy the iPhone reputation???
You can't be serious lol

How do we know the iPhone in the video wasn't tampered with beforehand? Consumer Reports just did a video contradicting this video. He could have opened that iPhone up beforehand and sabotaged the internal structure. Anything to make a buck right?

Really? Is this the best you can do?

Dude - you own the model with the inferior build. It has been more than confirmed. You are on permanent ignore now as you are either a paid Apple troll or just someone with way too much time on his hands. Please stop harassing / stalking me.

Yes the new iPhones are more delicate than most other mobile phones. It's really thin and made of aluminum (duh), so treat it accordingly. If you are a person who likes to bang around your phone then put it in a durable case or buy something else (Moto X). If you really love the iPhone then get Applecare+ and beat the iPhone 6 to hell then pay $79 to get a new one once a year for 2 years.

To be fair, I am NOT canceling my iPhone 6 Plus order and I will still get mine and have it for 2 years, but that did seem pretty easy to complete wreck that phone in a split second. He didn't seem to be pushing very hard on the Moto X though..

We sure don't have enough 'bendgate' videos running around now do we?

Not even gonna reward these trolls the video view...

Use enough pressure on any most phone and it will deform. Simply take care of it the way you should for a $650+ electronic (i.e. not sitting on it) and you will be fine.

That video shows the 6+ to be weak as heck.
There can be no rational fanboy defence of that product now. It WILL bend with the slightest force.

CR showed nothing that contradicts this video.

In your imagination, maybe. Do better.

Wow. The quality of the trolling has dropped significantly. I'm disappointed.

yikes!

I don't understand why people tried to claim his last video was "fake", the time stamp proves nothing. I love apple, but the phone bends..stop being delusional and making up excuses for the company. Just get over it, this is the reason why some apple fans have a bad rep.

Consumer Reports did a test with equalised pressure along three different points. Whereas this test is pressure at one point on the phone, as well as uneven.

What you SHOULD be asking for is for Consumer Reports to do a similar test to this one because this mirrors real life usage.

Because of the timestamps there was serious editting possibility of two phones.

Now he says this one is fresh out of the box but it's already at the home screen and not the normal setup Hello screen. He also moves the phone out of the camera frame as well.

Why would he do this? He is making a lot of money from these videos. Saying everything is "A" okay wouldn't make him near as much money.

ok but he isn't the only one making videos about the bending? there are several other videos that show the same result. Not to mention, it shouldn't be shocking to anyone with more than two brain cells that a phone this thin made of aluminum will bend with some force..

but ok, whatever helps you sleep at night.

That's right, Consumer Reports placed a single point load central same as the Apple test machines. The Unbox guy places two thumbs, one directly under the reinforced area by the volume switch cutout. If you look inside the assembly you can see why it would fail from pressure at that point. There's a weak spot where the reinforcing bar ends but still allows rotation at the screw attachment point to the chassis. Apply an off-centre load just at that point, with the longer leverage from the rest of the body (fxd) and it going to bend more easily than at the centre. Sorry but it's vulnerable imo.

A few things...

- Lewis (Unbox Therapy) still haven't explained the time issue with the first video.

- The "unwrapped brand new" iPhone in the second video clearly isn't unwrapped and brand new, show me one that's still in the wrapped box. The one he bent was already set up, anyone can put the plastics back on the phone afterwards.

- The consumer reports video clearly shows that the 6 is more bendable than the 6+. You can't argue with machines and science.

Anyone else wonder if the people that posted these videos work for Samsung?

As an iPhone owner, I don't care. We're happy with our phones and no need to look for others and try to find flaws on them. We're not on the same league as they, simply put.

Here is the new video of the bend test with a new iphone 6 +

The iphone 6 + bends easily, there is nothing fake here it is real

Take care of your iphone 6 +

To me it looks like the screen delaminated, thats why it was easy to crack. I think this is a glue issue, as that will explain why some are not bending and others are.

If the screen delaminated, the structural integrity is greatly reduced. If this is the case apple can fix the problem.

Pretty convincing video.

Boy, this guy got a HUGE paycheck this month. The first bend video got 37 million + views.
