My money is on the fact that the actors are seeing the script and then turning it down. I suspect it's not a "pro-Jobs" and they don't want to touch it as a result. Too much career risk.Does this mean there are problems with the script?
They make movies about people who died even decades if not more after they pass and they still work. Not sure if that's really a big enough of an indicator of how well or poorly a film might do.Why don't they just pull the plug on this. I think at this stage, its DOA. I mean his death was 3 years ago and by the time they roll out a finished film its going to be 2016 or 2017 at this rate. I think they needed to strike while the iron was hot. They missed their window of opportunity and now a movie about Steve Jobs isn't going to deliver the same sort of consumer interest as it was back in 2011.
best news i've heard in a while. Bale would be horrible as Jobs. Plus he's a jerk, so it's a win-win.
Any movie which bases life of JObes in 2 moments ONLY and not important moments in his entire life is bound to be a failure
They should just get Ashton Kutcher. He already has Job's walk down.
Do people not realize it's perfectly normal for movies to go through a bunch of directors and actors before they are finally produced?
There are pretty few movies for which this is not the case.
First David Fincher pulls out and now Christian Bale pulls out. Damn you Sony for failing to secure both the services of the perfect director and the perfect actor. That is it. I pull out too.
The production seems less than a mainstream biopic like Lincoln (Day-Lewis) or Nixon (Hopkins), so I doubt the A list actors (Tom and Keanu) would take it on (which is why I think Christian Bale left)...
DEAD. DEAD.
It seems you're missing the point: if Bale was a jerk, he would be perfect for the role.
