Reality TV star and former model Anna Nicole Smith is dead, a law enforcement source told CNN.

Smith, 39, collapsed at a south Florida hotel and was taken to a local hospital, according to news reports.

TMZ.com had reported that Smith collapsed at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, and was rushed to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood just after 2 p.m. ET.

According to reports, Smith was found unresponsive in her hotel room.

Smith was involved in paternity suit regarding the parentage of her daughter, Danielynn, as well as other disputes, including ones regarding a house she stayed at in the Bahamas around the time she gave birth.

Earlier this week, Smith was included in a class-action lawsuit against a company, TrimSpa, for which she has worked as a spokesperson. TrimSpa makes a product it claims leads to substantial weight loss. The lawsuit alleges the marketing of the product, TrimSpa X32, was false or
 
Seems kind of convient, makes you wonder if the family of her rich husband had anything to do with this or if she was just abusing drugs. Anyways its pretty sad.
 
This whole story has been odd for years, It still sounds like a publicity stunt.
 
Hey, I made fun of her like everybody else -- but I wouldn't make fun of her death. The woman's life was a train wreck, and most of it was her own fault, sure, but I always hoped she could turn herself into something more than a joke. I hope it wasn't drugs. That'd be a pathetic ending to a bad life.

And yeah, you gotta wonder where the kid's gonna end up -- living with her Texas hillbilly family?

Guess the Marshall family is dancing a jig though, huh?

BTW, this really should've gone under Current Events, don't you think?
 
I'm very sorry to her family and lover about this. It really did shock me. It hurts to see someone who had such a rough life the past years. It wouldn't be out of suspicion to suspect suicide.

I think the side show of this case made it more of a community discussion.

Now who gets all that money. There are billions up for grabs, I would assume her daughter would get it?
 
I think she could have died of a heart problem because of the diet pills or drugs that shes done over the years. She could also have had problems with anti-depressants and those affect the heart if you mix with other medication kind of like her son died. I feel sorry for her little baby but I would like to know who the real father of it is and hopefully they will find that out since she died. As said before just move on if it doesn't affect you directly.

I was wondering the same thing about who would get custody of her little girl. Will the paternity test be completed now?

In any case, I imagine that whoever ends up with custody may try to continue the fight with the Marshall family over inheritance.

Regardless of how she died it's still sad. A sad, sudden end to a sad life.
