Please don't compare Monroe to Smith. Monroe was drop dead gorgeous, whereas Smith wasn't.

You mean this isn't drop dead gorgeous?

Too bad - and at the young age of 39. Heck, her cans were just turning five this March...

What a wild life she had. Is that what you call the "fast lane"?

Anyway, I feel bad for the baby girl. :(

Rest in peace, Anna.

Insensitive, yes. I still chuckled at my own joke, though.
You killed me with this one :D :D

And how on earth did she lose all that weight in like 2 sec? She was such a fatty... shows what these 'Slim Fast' suppliments do to ya :(

The girl will be better off without her as a mother. I don't feel too bad for her.
Have you seen Anna's family. I think she was much better off having Anna as a Mom then what might happen if they never find Daddy.

No disrespect to Smith, but the biggest difference between her and Monroe is that Marilyn Monroe had Talent.

Only real difference was the Media in Monroe's days had some restraint...

I feel sorry for the kid. She's going to be a celebrity football for the rest of her life.

Like Forest said, "It happens."

We're all gonna die someday, you know that, right? And you know that time gets cut significantly when your addicted to pain killers and 100 year old oil tycoons and the fading image of your former beauty while sustaining off of socially accepted mini-thins.

Sad for someone to die at a young age.

I hope her daughter goes on to live a long life away from the media spotlight and with the support from the rich side of the family.

Was CPR even possible or did her breasts get in the way?

I would have thought there would be more support and genuine sadness for what ended up a tragic life.

A story of the American Dream, Rags to Riches, and the fall from grace.

While Anna herself may not have left a huge body of work, i'm sure her life story will now be published and a movie made and so it that sense she will be remembered.

May your child have a happier life, though legal battles will probably follow her throughout her childhood - and I can see history repeating.

Ummmm...

No disrespect to Smith, but the biggest difference between her and Monroe is that Marilyn Monroe had Talent.

I'd agree with this. Before comparing Smith to Monroe people really ought to watch 'Some Like It Hot', then tell me what Smith did that could in any way be compared with it.

It's always sad when someone with a young child dies but let's not pretend that she had any 'talent' in the real sense of the word.

I think this is another compelling argument for people even in their twenties and thirties setting up a will and a living trust if they have so much as one dependent. Fortunately, the kid will get everything, but there will be a big battle as to who gets to manage the money for the kid until she's of age.

Given the situation, if I were the probate judge I'd give the kid to whoever tests out as the father and have a court appointed financial outfit dole out the money for the kid's expenses.

It's unfortunate someone so young passed away with so much tragedy in her life. Clearly she was going through a tumultuous time and maybe this is her refuge.

On another note it's amazing to see so many people expressing their individual opinions on this topic (even some not going with the status quo) and yet nobody else is crucifying them for it.

Awwww. I liked Anna. She was a little quirky but that's ok. She was frickin HOT in her day. Way hotter than Monroe, imo. Monroe is more of an icon, but not really boner inspiring (to put it bluntly), unless you like old people stuff.

In our paper it said she had earlier fallen and hit her head on a bathtub,
and than a day later felt sick and feverish were she went for a nap and never awoke...?

You are all very quick to judge.
