It will be interesting to see if apple figured out how to stop people making ringtones for free through itunes....

Let's hope not!

I just use GarageBand. But, then I don't use an iPhone either (I like reliable phones that I can keep using after accidental drops). My little Nokia has survived an amazing accident (and still looks nearly new).

It works if you have it over the volume section. Feel free to update!

Ah, but I want it to be like in iTunes 7 when you could adjust the volume when the mouse was over any part of miniplayer window. Thanks for checking though! :)

Its an iTunes update.. I don't see why every other post has to have over excited update monkeys getting wet & dribbly about an iPhone update.. 2.2 at that.. Zzz.. It's not like 2.1 was anything amazing over 2.0.2. So why should 2.2 be anyting so impressive over 2.1?

Anyway, back to iTunes.. Runs good. but then I didn't have any issues beforehand either.

Requiem 1.8.1

Has anyone idea if this new update of 8.0.2 kills Requiem functionality? I am not going to do it 'cause I like my liberated collection and want to keep on being able to use Requiem.

I can't seem to connect to app store from my iPhone right now either... Signs point to an update soon.

I hope this addresses the issue with choppy playback over airtunes. Since v8, APEs with perfect reception in the past have been randomly chopping up airtunes streams. The only fix has been downgrading to iTunes 7.

I just confirmed that this iTunes update fixes the problem in previous versions of 8.0.x with displaying Nike+ information for those of us who track more than one shoe sensor. Previously, the tables that display the sensor statistics would become corrupted when switching from one sensor to another.

That bug was driving me NUTS (I track six different sensors), and so this fix makes me a very happy Nike+ user again.

Right after start "iTunes cannot run because it detects a problem with QuickTime. For repair instructions, click help."

Nice beginning ....

Yes, it does break it. GRRRRR.

Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5F136 Safari/525.20)

Awesome- not only an iPhone update, but an iTunes one too!
It'll be going on the Windows box straight away when I come hme from work!

"Fixes a connectivity issue with the iTunes Store when using some Internet proxies with Mac OS X."

Finally, they lost a good bit of moolah from me due to this issue.

Grr, my iTunes now performs really slow connection to the store as a result of the update. I go through a proxy at work and it was perfectly fast before... Dammit! lol

Is anybody else having problems autosizing the columns after downloading this update???

It cuts off the last bit on the longest song titles!

Tanj in torment... so what is it that Requiem does, exactly, that iTunes doesn't seem to like?

Just had a thought: So you have a Requiem-ed audio file. Can you open it in Quicktime, save it (it'll tell you to do so as a movie), and then change the extension to .aac so it plays as music, and put it back into iTunes? Will that be enough of an authorization for iTunes to allow the music again?

Well for some reason I cannot connect to get my app updates. It just keeps saying Accessing Itunes Store with a scrolling bar. Then I receive an error message. I can get to iTunes store just fine via the store link, just not to download updated apps. What is going on here???
