MP4 Improvements on old PB

It's always a nice surprise to find something work better you never expected. On my old 867 MHz PB .mp4 files would skip when played with the last iTunes, just enough to make it annoying, but you could still watch. Now, I can't find any .mp4 file that skips, all play smoothly. Considering the age of my PB, I never thought this would be remediated. Hopefully it continues like this, my CPU is at 100% even with this, so it's just barely squeaking by.

Edit: Wow, I take my cheers back. I just had my fourth kernel panic since buying my PB new, right at about the time I clicked "Submit" for this comment. Hopefully this doesn't keep up.

I'm checking for updates for apps and it's stuck on "Accessing iTunes Store" for 10min+ I'm able to access the iTunes store normally, but I just can't check for app updates :/

Exactly same issue here. iTunes store as per normal, loading times all normal, but when I try to "check for updates", it gets stuck on "Accessing itunes store"

Wow. Sound like you have your own iTunes store. Let me see. At 99¢ per song I wonder how much that collection is worth.

Depends on whether the songs are lossless. Plus movies and TV shows (HD in particular will take up large amounts of space). I seriously doubt he has over 600,000 songs in his library ;)

Where is iTunes Plus?

I don't see a link to iTunes Plus (Upgrade my library) on the iTunes 8.0.2 music store home page anymore. Did Apple silently delete this feature??

I'm still on 8.0.1 and it won't check for updates here either. Everything else works fine.

Checking for App updates doesn't work in the new iTunes, or on the iPhone with 2.2 firmware. Hasn't worked for me all day today. I get "Accessing iTunes Store..." for about 2-3 minutes, then an error saying couldn't connect to the iTunes Store.

Apparently this is hit and miss. On the apple forums many are seeing, but it still seems overall to be a small population. I am pissed as I want the new update for Guitar Rock Tour. Guess I can try the delete and redownload trick.

Oh, and it is not 2.2 as my iPhone on 2.1 is doing this. Updating to 2.2 now.

has there always been a Browser view for teh app store?

Now I can update apps through iTunes, but on my iPhone and iPod Touch, both updated to 2.2, when I check for apps it says all apps are up to date although on itunes at the same time there are apps to update, which were transferred to the iPhone/iPod Touch when I sync them.

Black Screen in itunes store on Vista after 8.0.2 update!

Hey guys,

Anyone experienced a black screen problem while browsing the itunes store? I haven't had this problem until I installed the 8.0.2 update. While I was browsing the movies in "Cover Flow", my screen would just go black without any response. I had to press the power button to restart. I'm on Vista 32 Home Basic.

Thanks

Error 13008

Hmm...Installed the update and now I'm getting a "The iTunes application could not be opened. An unknown error occurred (13008)."

Terrific.

Any recomendations?

I will get my $120.00 iTunes credict later?

If you don't get your credit back, I would call Apple about it. If I had that much credit I would be ticked off too. :(

In the "what is new" part... does it not say I can now download HD shows from the Apple Store onto my comp??? Not just AppleTV???

I have been able to do this before this update (I haven't up dated yet) and download HD shows. I don't know what it do for playing on my MacBook though. :/
