Automatically clear old Messages
In the process of doing some spring cleaning I had a thought - Is there a way (even if it's through an Apple script or something) to clear out old iMessages on OS X like there is on iOS? It's easy to set 30 days or a year on iOS, but I can't find any similar setting on OS X. I know my laptop... -

Lack of consistency in Read Receipts for iMessage in notifications?
As you all are aware, you can turn on Read Receipts for iMessage. When you open a thread and view a message, it'll be shown as Read to the person who sent you the message. However if you see the message on the lock screen and decide to swipe on it and hit the "x", it'll appear as Read as well... -
