M4 mini and legacy 480i pro res
Has anyone tested the M1 series computers with legacy 480i Pro Res 422 LT? I know the Apple silicone chips are optimized for Pro Res just not sure how they handle smaller resolutions such as 480i? Also does Final Cut Pro support 480i and export to H264 as well as MPEG 2? Thanks- waloshin

ProRes Conversion
Hi, I have taken some ProRes videos whilst on holiday but I want to convert them to H.265 but keep the metadata the same so they stay in place in the photos app. Is there a way of doing this? I tried Final Cut Pro but it changed he metadata to the date of the conversion.- wordlessjam

Other FYI: Base 14 Pro can’t record 4K30 in ProRes
As for 13 Pro, you have to go for 256GB or higher. How much longer before 256GB (at least Pro models, Samsung top tier models) becomes a standard? (!RemindMe 5 years "Is the 256GB future now?") -

Just read that Apple kept the limit on ProRes (1080/30 only) for the 128GB model of the 14 Pro. I just pre-pre-orderd a 128GB model because that's about all the storage I ever use on my 11 Pro. ProRes Encoding Now Available on Windows via Adobe Software
