The Sabres were down 4-1 to the Bruins with 10 minutes to play, but they stormed back to tie it and eventually won in a shootout...this team is destined for special things this year!

***hoping clayj stops by soon***

Another sweet, sweet victory for the Sabres over the Hurricanes tonight...that's three already this season. True redemption won't be obtained until the playoffs, but it certainly feels good!

:p ;) :D

We need more trash-talk. There's not enough trash talk or discussion in here.

I'm on top, but I've had to make a lot of trades to get here. And despite being Canadian, I also don't follow the league here since it's difficult and time consuming, so I expect better from you, at least in the trash-talking department!

Um......"Yo mamma so ugly, she walked into a haunted house, and walked out with a new job!"

As of this week, I'm no longer 1st place. First time that has happened. The most horrible part is that I slid directly to 3rd. I never even had a chance to be 2nd.

Oh, and I hope the Leafs/God's team start doing better.

Thanks for bringing this thread back up from the dead. I'm still following my Sabres closely and enjoying the ride, although they've been struggling lately. Fortunately they've got a pretty nice cushion that will hopefully hold them long enough to right the ship.

I wondering what the Isles are gonna do with that $5 million in cap space they cleared out. We're in desperate need of a goal scorer.

I'm actually kinda surprised with the Hawks this season. 41 points, sounds like their total from last season. If it's any consolation, my Isles are 2-7-1 in their last 10.

100TH POST!!!!

Come on people!!!! Islanders got a win finally last night against the lowly Flyers. Did anybody see that spear that Jason Blake put on Sid The Kid?

Can I get some (if only temporary) love for my hometown St. Louis Blues? As a season ticket holder, I've seen many games live this year...and this team is really playing great. Coach Andy Murray has them extremely well prepared for each game. MUCH BETTER than at the beginning of the season.

I'll give you some love for STL. They are playing better than anyone ever expected. Same for the laughing stock of the NHL, Islanders (except during their recent/current slide)

From a guy who has bled Blue blood for many, many years,,, here ya go... :D

Unfortunately, ~6 hours from the Checkerdome, errr.. Savis Center, errr... Scotrade Center, so haven't made any games this year.

Very impressed w/ Coach Murray's ways so far! :)

Hey hockey fans (all 3 of us!) what do you think the NHL can do to build/increase the fan base or generate interest? Obviously with the rule changes 2 years ago to increase scoring and keep the play moving can only do so much. Obviously HD is the way to go when watching hockey (or any sport for that matter), do you think if the NHL created it's own network (a la the NFL) it would generate more interest?

In regards to play, 8 games against division rvials is too much (not that I have a problem when the Isles and Rangers play each other :D ). I say drop it down to 6, and the extra games could be played in the western conference.

Trading deadline is approaching (well, not really, but whatever), if you're team is the hunt what do you think they need to get them over that hump and into the playoffs? For my team (The Islanders) the are in desperate need of a goal scorer.

Show some love to the NHL (or LNH in Montreal) and post!!!!
