Hi i have the 1.1.1 firmware on my touch now i added the source and installed the BSD but when i go back to all the apps the ijailbreak app is not there and i am not sure why.

open up the Installer app. Tap the Sources tab. Add ijailbreak.com/repo.plist as a source by tapping Edit, then Add. Then tap Refresh.

that should help.

my 16gb touch seems totally unresponsive at this point. I reset it and it has rebooted with 1.1.3 instead of 1.1.1 before the process. However, the installer is now gone.

After the reset, everything seemed to have installed normally. The freeze at the end of the Jailbreak 1.1.3 process gave me a bit of a scare. I successfully loaded the Iphone apps (google maps, mail, weather, stocks, etc).

Thanks much to the O.P. and everyone elses help!
My first 8 hours of 16gb Touch ownership is awesome so far!

I did as the OP said and it restarted...but how do I know it's 1.1.3? I went into settings it says 1.1.1 and when I tried deleting the temp data it says it's only for ipods that are 1.1.3 jailbroken...does that mean it didn't complete successfully? I mean it restarted and everything...

Wifi died while I download the 1.1.3

Hi.

I use the Itouch 1.1.1, and I was downloading the 1.1.3 when wifi died (at home).

So I tried to do another time, but when I toch the "iJailBreak" icon, appears the next:
"Last Login: Wed Feb 27 ... etc.. on ttyp1

#"

I don't know what to do.

I have tried to do the process another time, but I have some errors. I can't uninstall.

ijailbreak does not show up in installer

I went into my sources and added http://ijailbreak.com/repo.plist but when I go to refresh it gets to about 60%, comes to a dead stop, and then I have to force quit. When I re-enter installer ijailbreak does not appear under install but the source appears in the source list. Please help!

Nevermind, problem fixed. If this happens to you delete the source, close out of Installer then re-open it and add the source again. Keep doing this until it works. I had to do it 3 times before it showed up

Honestly, I've done this about 50 times. I think you might have gotten lucky or something. It's annoying because you actually have to reinstall it EVERY TIME

I have had to add some other sources that took many attepts. It would appear that installer 3.0's add source feature is very unreliable

Hey guys, my Ipod Touch is already on 1.1.3, so I just tried getting Jailbreak but then I couldn't download it, there was a blue question mark box, I read the F.A.Q and it says that I probably ran it already, but I can't seem to find the software or anything else, just a normal Ipod Touch, does this mean its already JailBroken?

Edit: Okay, I just found out that my Ipod is NOT JailBroken which really sucks, but I think I know why I can't download the file, I need to check again, however, I heard that there was an update coming, the Zitouch 2.5 or something, it will be compatible with all types of Ipod/Iphones (Ipod Touch 8 gb, 16 gb and 32 gb - for 1.1.4), I can't wait until it comes out, I'm bored to death on my Ipod Touch listening to music, surfing the web, going on Youtube, I need GAMES!!

Seems To Be WOrking All Though It Taking Along Time In iJailBreak .. is this normal?

It apears to be stuck at the connection to "apl.." stange and doesn't seem to be going any further..

Says Connections Timed Out

Or does this take a long time?

Have you checked that you are connected and you got the right Ipod/Iphone type and whether it is plugged in properly or not?

How long is this thing supposed to take. I'm definitely approaching the one hour mark and it seems stuck at this:

Archive: patch.zip
inflating: ./patch.sd3
Patching filesystem...
mount: /var: unknown special file or filesystem
If you get a mount: /var unknown special file or filesystem error, it is completely normal

its been here for about 30 mins. How much longer am I supposed to wait :(

Hi.

I just in the same situation like you, and it's the second time it's happen's me.

I went out and when I come back the ipod had finish to download the firmware, so, been at the same point that is now, i close the ipod, and after rebooting i still was in 1.1.1.

It's the second time I do this, and I'm in the same point.. what to do?

Do you find the answer, or how did you solve that?
