It doesn't do it anymore...I noticed my iphoto application stopped popping up everytime I hooked up my iphone...anyone else noticing this?

Mine still does. There is a way to stop it in prefs I believe on the macbook but I dont recall what exactly it was. I read that here somewhere but too lazy to search today. ;)

Bluetooth has been updated in 1.1.4

With 1.1.3 my iphone would not work properly with the bluetooth system of my car (a March 2005 BMW). Now it does! Hooray.

That's two reports of better bluetooth functionality with 1.1.4 . Anybody out there with a stereo bluetooth headset that can weigh in as to weather or not 1.1.4 plays nice with it? Specifically the ability to play itunes through it ? Not using a separate BT transmitter adapter, just the phone itself.

Sorry for the n00b question, but what's the difference between a stereo BT headset and my Plantronics 3XX BT headset?

I'm pretty sure mine is getting less battery life. I had about a half charge about three hours ago, made a five minute call on speaker phone and it was down about 25% when I just looked at it.

I don't know if it's my phone or my imagination, but the phone felt like it was running hot and the power drain seems to confirm that the processor (or something) was running while it was in my pocket.

Anyone else seeing this?

Hmm..I actually thought that it made my battery life a little bit better...Strange

Um I can go on Sirius's website and navigate anywhere. its a flash site.......

I would like to point out to you that if you go to www.sirius.com on your iPhone and then take a look at the URL it says at the end:

Updated last night and am now able to get wireless access in my office at the end of the garden - where I cant get it with my Macbook Pro and definitely didnt get access there with the iPhone before - so I am well chuffed!

To answer your question Koko...No, they still do not work in stereo mode. I have two sets: Jabra 8010 and the iSkin Cerulean F1's...Both are paired to the iPhone but neither will recieve stereo sound...YET

After each update, there are two things I test to see if they work yet...My Bluetooth Stereo Headsets and my Apple Radio Adapter...at this time neither are working to their specified potential.

Sorry...next update? maybe?

iPhone Mail now supports PDF attachments!

Installed 1.1.4 firmware upgrade last night. Just discovered I can read pdf attachments in Mail! I think this is new. Never noticed this under 1.1.3.

Would this feature have developed by Apple engineers or could this be evidence that Adobe is hard at work with the Apple iPhone SDK?

Dan

Sorry to burst your bubble Dan, :( but it was available in 1.1.3...I sent all of my profiles in PDF format to myself so that I didnt have to carry paper copies to show my supervisors. Good looking out though :)

The BT connection to my Honda HFT system is no different. It still doesn't automatically transfer audio to the hands free system when the call is answered  - but that might be a limitation of the Honda system as opposed to the iPhone.

That's old. I'd like to see it open up PowerPoint presentations.

Can't do 1.1.3? You know the shift-restore trick, right?

Gotta put it in DFU mode and then restore it by option-clicking (Mac) or shift-clicking (PC) the restore button. Search somewhere on how to put your iPhone or iPod touch in DFU mode (Device Firmware Upgrade).

Hot, Hot, Hot!

I am still running 1.1.3 and have noticed the same thing recently. Battery life is dropping after short use and it also feels extremely warm, yes, hot after just 10 minutes of use. I expect it to get warm, but this is much hotter than in the past.

I wonder if a battery problem is going to emerge like the laptop battery fires in years past?

Now on 1.1.4 it seemed my iPhone was doing something because it drained battery and got very warm while I was just listening to music. Ten minutes later it got cooler and the battery icon stopped moving noticeable.
It's been a one-time problem, so I don't think is general, perhaps it was performing some sort of system maintenance…
Overall 1.1.4 seems snappier, really! When I open the iPod is goes much faster. The camera has obviously been improved.

I have tested the camera in several light conditions with my wife's 1.1.3, and my 1.1.4 phones. I cannot see a bit of difference is quality, frame rate, or speed of the photo being taken. They are identical. I can't believe anything was done to the camera.

I upgraded to 1.1.4, jailbroke and unlocked. Settings said it was 1.1.4. After fooling around for a couple of hours, settings now says it's 1.1.3 and iTunes not only says it's 1.1.3, it says it's the current version. Anyone know what's happening? Also, Summerboard is gone. It is no longer in Installer, because it thinks it's on the iphone, but where is it? How do I restore it? To make matters worse, Cyberduck will no longer connect. So what do I have? Do I have 1.1.4? If I do why is everything so messed up? I know that sooner or later and after hours of searching the web, I'll find a few answers, but I can't be the only upgrader on this forum experiencing this.

Try doing a restore to 1.1.4 (go in to iTunes, select your iPhone, and hit restore). Then use ziphone to jailbreak again.

Thanks for replying. I did just that, except I did the jailbreak and unlock with iJailbreak. It's fine now. One question. How do I get 1.1.4 AppPatch? can't find it. One other problem. Since I did all this, Mail won't stay open. I open it and it pops back to the Springboard in a couple of seconds.

1.1.4 Volume

Hello,

The noticeable change is that the speaker volume is much louder now for media.

Nate

Greetings all..I ran into a major problem. I was using ziphone 2.5b to unlock my phone...as it was running (scrolling with all the white letters)...it was taking way longer than 10minutes so I disconnected my iphone and was going to try it again. However whenever I turn my iphone on now its starts scrolling with white letters and gets frozen with a million things saying:

BSD root: md0, major 2, minor 0

I have no idea what to do..I can turn my phone off..however whenever I turn it on it goes right to this..ANY HELP PLEASE!!

Never disconnect anything if you're updating firmware/system software, etc. Patience!

You might be able to put your phone into restore mode and put everything to default. I think ziphone is also able to fix bricked phones, so do the research! Really read up on using the app properly, and take precautions to prevent things from going wrong.

Do the research, and you should be fine. Good luck!

Thanks for the response..I have been trying to research this problem and I can't come up with anything..the only thing I can do is restart my phone by holding the power button and main button down..but then the same thing happens...black screen with the white language scrolling down until it gets stuck at BSD root: md0, major 2, minor 2..I have no idea what to do..should I take it into an apple store?
