Like the look of the SG SS a lot, but thinking huge scratch potential of black coating on steel. I don't mind it for a phone, but a watch is pretty prone to being bumped . . .

This. I was thinking exactly the same. I will be getting the "silver" SS with Link Bracelet.

The DLC coating used on the Space Black version is very scratch-resistant, so you shouldn't be too worried about scratches.
