Got a notice that my 32gb grey ATT shipped at 1:24am (eastern time). I got my order confirmation at 3:13am on Friday so I guess I'm in the first batch for this device.

It's leaving China and estimated delivery is Weds 9/25 by EOD. Too bad it's shipping to my parents' house (on a family plan) near Philadelphia and I'm in NYC.

Just saying, but you could have shipped it somewhere else. I'm on a family plan and sent my moms to her, and mine is coming to me at school

for the 1st batch coming out of Incheon:
Click this and scroll down to the activity log http://flightaware.com/live/flight/UPS99

You will see that the flight gets into Anchorage @ 12:48P Alaska time
and then leaves at 3:05P Alaska time
It gets into Louisville @ 12:50A Eastern

I would think that most flights would need to be out of Louisville by 3AM to make the Tuesday morning delivery times but some that need to travel further (like West Coast) would need to leave earlier and won't make the cut-off hence the reason for the extra day.

Received today at noon. Ordered from ATT Friday at 8am. 2 64g phones... one black, one silver. Very surprised considering the est. order time was 7-14 days. I think they must have given priority to business accounts.

Weird how people who ordered from carriers are getting it before people who ordered it directly from Apple.

Is this the same with the gold version also?

Wish I hadn't ordered online on Apple or that I could cancel it. The exact phone I want is currently in stock at my local store and mine still hasn't shipped (even though I ordered it right away).

Oh well.

Well this sucks...I ordered at 3:21am (e.s.t.) and it still shows as "preparing for shipment". I ordered a 16GB space grey, AT&T, with expedited $10 shipping. Still stuck at "preparing for shipment" which it went into that status Saturday evening.

WTF!?

This can't physically happen. Anchorage is a refueling stop. They may not scan in/out or unload but they must refuel.

That website is stupid and just guessing because all packages go to Louisville first. They are on UPS flight 99.

Just because it doesn't mention a stop in anchorage does not deem the website as "stupid". It's accurate, I know too many people that use it. It's worked the last three years, and it's working now. Use whatever site you feel is the "best".....I just offered a suggestion for others

"Wed morning delivery"? I think you mean Tuesday (mine is on this flight and tracking says by end of day Tuesday). Louisville to Texas is only a 2 hour flight, so it will be on truck for delivery by 6 am.

Yup...I'm crossing time zones too much today...I've been talking with people in Manila all day and they are 12 hours ahead and it is 3AM on Tuesday there now...FIXED

By stupid I meant it is telling you no more than UPS's website.

supportprofile.apple.com now has my serial number for my 5s. :)

Actually, mine doesn't. It shows my moms that I purchased on my account, but it doesn't show mine... odd.

Also, it shows my sisters 4g iPt, and that shouldn't have been purchased with my account?

Does have my 3g iPt and my rMBP though as it should.

Is anyone else still waiting in "Preparing for Shipment" that ordered 12:15 am?

16gb space-g
at&t
$10 expedited

Sure they can. The distance between Zhengzhou and Louisville is about 7,300 miles which is within the range of most 747 configurations fully loaded. I've personally flown from Hong Kong to NYC non-stop which is about 8,000 miles.

Well... It depends. UPS 99 is on an MD-11. I don't know which variant it is, but if it is the cargo variant, (MD-11F), the max range is only 3950 nmi (about 4500 miles). That isn't going to make it. The 747s on the other hand have a much bigger payload and range.

I had a 3:05 EST so 10 minutes before you that's still preparing. At this point, it seems to be 32 gigs silver on att and 32 gigs gold on vzw that are stuck. Your model surprises me it hasn't shipped, but there could be a shortage of them as well.

My 32gb AT&T silver ordered from apple (3:03 AM EST order) is scheduled to deliver to tomorrow. Currently in flight from Korea
