I signed up for UPS choice thing and hit change delivery to try and get it held at a ups place before first delivery but i'm just going through an infinite loop now. It says login, i log in and it takes me back to tracking.

How can i either have it held at ups or select a window? I wont be home until a certain time that day.

What I can't figure out is why all of you posting full screen shots don't have reference numbers. Mine has like 6 listed under Additional Information, including my phone number and my Apple order number.

You see all that if you are logged in to UPS MyChoice. I log out for screen caps.

Once I signed up, on Apple I noticed it said "Already a MyChoice member." When I logged in from that link, it added the option to leave at a neighbor or hold on my tracking info.

so from reading these threads it seems they are shipping them on a first come first serve basis? I don't see too many people receiving shipping notices who ordered after 3am EST. I ordered ~ 515am EST and mine still shows preparing for shipment with an expected delivery date of friday 27SEP - 01OCT (no tracking number).

Seems that way, ordered my 32gb ATT at 3:30am EST -- still preparing for shipment.

You can only see the ref. numbers if you're logged into UPS My Choice.

My phone is scheduled to be delivered Tuesday PM. What I find incredible is how they pull that off when it left Korea this morning.

If the plane stops in anchorage (all my other apple stuff did) at 1 p.m. AK time, it will be 5 p.m. Louisville time. If it leaves by 2 p.m. AK time, then it would arrive at 1 a.m. Tuesday morning in Louisville. A truck from Louisville to Dallas would take 12-14 hours so that doesn't work. A plane to Alliance airport (Ft. Worth) would be a couple of hours which would work but from the plane it would need to hit the Dallas hub by 4 a.m. and from there to the Denton center by 6-7 a.m. to be out for delivery.

I'll really really be impressed with UPS/Apple if they pull this off. It just seems incredible to me.....if it comes Wednesday or even Thursday that's cool me with me. Order on Friday and get it on Friday has been my norm anyway. It just seems like Apple has got these phones out faster than I've ever seen before.

I know many think apple has dropped the ball but from what I see, this is a world class rollout.

I would have to agree, I live in FL, and how my local donk UPS guy is going to have this in my hands by tomorrow afternoon as it's currently over the Pacific seems relatively impossible. We may see quite a few Tuesdays turn to Wednesdays for actual delivery.

It didn't. There is no place indicated because it was from the factory to the depot ("China" to ZhengZhou). Origin is the label printing and the first departure is it being picked up from the factory.

Pay for the premium UPS MyChoice

You don't even need premium, you only need premium to get the two hour window, without premium they'll give you a four hour window.

Still no luck. When i Hit change delivery i get the pop up saying to log in even though I am logged in.

You don't have to pay to get delivery windows. You have to pay to choose a specific delivery window. Just sign up for MyChoice and you will get the delivery window. They send me an email with delivery windows every time a package is heading to my address with my name on it.

Anyone know, when registering, my house in in NC and I go to school in SC which is where my phone is going. Which address do I put down?

Yes, I have two phones with the exact same last scan as yours. Based on what I've seen of others who have more scans, ours will be sitting there without any further activity until around 5am Eastern time (5pm China).

Also, based on my refreshing, most of my scans have shown up in the online tracking about 2-3 hours after they actually happened. So check around 8am Eastern tomorrow morning and we should see our phones on their way out of China.

Yeah they sit for quite a while there from what I've seen too.

I am having the same issue. It's not giving me the option of changing delivery window. When I go into the My Choice calendar of incoming shipments, it doesn't seem to be picking up on this shipment. I checked the spelling/address, etc... but its not showing up as incoming, and thus not offering me the chance to modify.

I'm a bit nervous about pre-signing considering it could get swiped and I'd be out $500, but if I can't modify the window, I'm going to have to take that chance.

I went on their and now I see my tracking number pop up but how do I change anything? It seems like a giant annoying loop.

Yeah, I can't figure it out either. Not sure if my corporate firewall is messing with anything or if UPS' website is just that unintuitive.

Woke up to a shipping email from apple at 7 am this morning with an estimated delivery time of 9/26. ATT 16gb gold.

At least my phone is coming after my midterm tomorrow so I won't be distracted by it.

Stuck in preparing for shipment

Ordered my gold 32GB vzw at 3:02 on the 20th with expedited shipment. Appears to be stuck as others are being shipped and mine has not.

Just called Apple and requested the $10 expedited shipping refund. The rep insisted my order was indeed expedited. Didn't want to argue with her. Regardless, got my $10 back. Didn't get a free case offer, which is fine, I would never use the case anyway.

I got my shipping notification around 3am pst, shipping est for the 26th. 16gb gold att... must be second batch at least. oh well, im happy!

Me too.

silver 32gb att at 3:10.

Wish I could join all this "shipped" fun!

It's not direct... there is a refueling stop on all incoming UPS flights in Anchorage. Louisville is the final destination, but planes can't travel that far without refueling.

Sure they can. The distance between Zhengzhou and Louisville is about 7,300 miles which is within the range of most 747 configurations fully loaded. I've personally flown from Hong Kong to NYC non-stop which is about 8,000 miles.

See where I respond to next quote.

Yeah, unfortunately it seems the 32 GB of AT&T Silver and 32 GB of VZW Gold are the two not shipping. No fun. Luckily I chose Space Gray and it has shipped, but my mom's is still preparing for shipment.

I would imagine a cargo plane carries a lot more weight and therefore uses more gas? Guessing.

EDIT- reread your post and you seem to know what you're talking about? I know nothing, was just guessing.

If your phone has been picked up, they'll probably be on this flight tomorrow: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/UPS59

It leaves Hong Kong around 8PM local time (Hong Kong is 12 hours ahead of Eastern time). Then leaves Anchorage around 9PM local time and gets to Louisville around 6AM Eastern).
