Depends on how far the new address is from the original address. And where the package is in the process. The earlier you make the change the better. I have done this a couple of times. Changing the package to go from my home address to my work address. Majority of the time there was no delay, but a couple of times it delayed it by a day.

Darn! It's only 20 miles difference.

Well I can't understand why the delay then.
I don't think I have seen a gold 16gb tmobile shipped so maybe it's a model shortage.
In the past I would order as soon as the web site opened (or the app). I had AT&T and always received the phone on the first possible day or even 2 days before (for the iphone 4).
If I weren't saving so much with tmobile I would have stayed with AT&T and kept my unlimited plan.
Hoping it ships this morning and I get it before the weekend.

It now says my delivery date may change and the exception warning. My delivery date was supposed to be tomorrow, but my wife's gold is scheduled for Thursday, so maybe we'll end up just getting them the same day.

Do the processing confirmation emails really factor in to the shipping process? I ordered my 16GB Space Gray Sprint at 12:00 pacific (Apple Store app let me in a minute early) and I got the order confirmation email at 12:01. But my phone is hanging out in Korea at the moment, scheduled to be delivered by Thursday at the end of the day.

I ordered a gray 32GB AT&T model at 5:16 AM EST (2:16 AM Pacific Time)
It's been in preparing for shipment mode since Sept 22.

I'm guessing within the next hour Icheon phones will be departed. Takes a while to be updated. From there it will have a layover in anchorage to refuel, around 12am - 2am EST it should arrive in louisville, and then for me at least, around 4am it will arrive at JFK. Hopefully nothing goes wrong.

Yeah, same thing here. I'm in Salt Lake, so must have been the plane out West. Glad that it hasn't effected my date yet, but a little alarming to see the exception.

For anybody who has ever picked up their phone at the UPS center, when is it usually available for pick up? Around the same time they usually go out for delivery? Hopefully not the next day!

If you made the request before it gets to the UPS Customer Center all they do is put it on a shelf instead of a truck when it arrives. So it should be available when they open.
