According to a tweet from "sstaver", Apple has set up a number for people to "test out" FaceTime.

Give it a call. It's indeed legitimate.

    EDIT: Title fixed.

    It's real. I called it.

"You have reached 888 FaceTime outside of Apple's regular business hours. Please try your call again during normal business hours."

It's not a bank. You must be dialing it wrong.

The OP originally posted the number as 1-800-facetime, which is apparently, a bank.

Apple probably hired hundreds of people just to answer those calls. That's good for the economy. Nice job Apple!! :apple:

Yeah, it's legit, but I'm calling "outside of normal business hours" (Guess they don't have 24/7 FaceTime Test)

Do the demo phones at the apple store have phone numbers? I might just have to get a number and FaceTime with people in the store. I used to video chat with people in the stores, screen share and mess with people, etc. It was fun.

Guess it's not based in California. Unless your from the mid west and the emails have the time based in the custmorers location.
