Dude, because you got a lucky lottery ticket -- you have the same models that Apple's QA team has. That's it. They just didn't bother to test upgrades on OTHER models.

just because you say something, that doesn't make it fact... and how does that explain the majority of users who also don't have these issues?

Click-bait title needs altering. However the OP got onto a Beta release, it <is> a Beta release.

Guess at some point since 2013 he has signed up to the Beta program and just forgot...?

Machine: MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013), 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

After the frustration of dealing with several issues I have gone back to 10.12.6

Just a few things that 10.13.3 broke;

Slow as molasses boot-up. Boot was ~ 15 seconds, with 10.13 increased to 45 sec.
Constant random reboots, some times after 10 minutes or 2 or more hours. Logs indicated kernel panic.
Macs fan control removed (not supported).
Safari page loads slow as molasses. Grrr.
Face Time calling via iPhone not working.
The sound for notifications not working.
Keychain access removed from menu bar.
Screen flicker or jitter on streaming movies.
Used an additional 30GB of drive space.
Blue tooth issues.
Hot Spot connection Issues.

I changed from Windoze to a Mac in 2013 and 10.13 has been the worst update I've ever experienced! Really Apple? Your QA person should be canned. I use my Mac to make a little money on the side trading and having an unreliable machine is not tolerable.

Worse update ever? Not even on the same planet!

Machine: MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, 2017) 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3, 512 GB SSD

10.3.3 hasn't broken anything.

Boot time is as fast as ever.
No random boots whatsoever.
iStat Menus working as designed showing sub 100 degree temps all day long.
Safari loads exceptionally fast both in Safari and Safari Technology Preview.
Face Time working perfecting. Skype on other hand is DOA on iPhone.
Sound notifications working perfectly.
Keychain is safely tucked away in Utilities.
Screen flicker nonexistent when streaming movies via Prime, Netflix, iTunes, etc.
No change in drive space.
Bluetooth working perfectly (although I have only a Bose Mini SoundLink speaker and BeatX headphones)
Hot Spot service works perfectly (via an iPhone X running iOS 11.3 beta 1 and on T-Mobile)

I also run a HP laptop running Windoze 10 on whatever crazy "creator's edition" is current. What a mess that whole ball of wax is. The meltdown and specter patches have been a disaster. Hours of lost time.

Thank goodness I have my MacBook Pro otherwise my productivity would have gone down the tube!

Guys in general how is safari 11.(0.3)?

I'm on 10.12.6 , but still 10. something safari on Sierra and its really good

I only habe the hot spot connection issue of those, but have 2016 macbook pro model though

TBH, after I go back to HFS+, and upgrade to 10.13.3. My system actually feels like 10.6.8, very smooth and stable. Nothing broken. All the self upgrade SSD, GPU, Wifi, BT card work as expected. Handoff, Watch unlock etc all perfect.

Safari also super smooth so far. However, from my experience, Safari performance is highly related to GPU driver quality. Therefore, it's type specific in Mac (depends on the GPU model). So, works well on my Mac, doesn't automatically imply it will (or even it can) work flawless on your Mac.

e.g. Back into Yosemite, the HD7950 driver was buggy, it made Safari hang on some web page, and micro freeze during text input. But for lots of other Mac users, Yosemite is the best OS for them so far.

The OP is in the beta program (or was), the 10.13.3 he is referring to was the beta release, not the public one.

For the record I have never been in the 'beta program'. The way I see it if Apple wants me to test software then they can pay me.

^^^^Well, you wrote your first post 34 days before the public release of OS 10.13.3. How can this be?

Some how the beta version was linked to the free upgrade version as depicted.

Somehow, you were enrolled on the beta program, @Fredn3ck

It is impossible you had the release version of 10.13.3 on dec 20th. This version of macOS was released in its final form the last week more or less, so definitely the version you had during Christmas time was a beta. Even you could still be in the beta if you didn't update your beta.

I suggest you to exit from the beta program, if you haven't done so.
[doublepost=1517156565][/doublepost]And for the record, i'll be formatting my 2010 MBP SSD with APFS and High Sierra 10.13.3 anytime soon, so I will come back to this thread and will share my impressions.

Well, as I said, I've installed macOS High Sierra 10.13.3 on my 2010 MacBook Pro, and so far so good. Maybe is not smoother and faster than Sierra, but the performance is pretty good (I think on par with Sierra), and has some small interesting features.

I will write a review when I have used a little more the Mac.
