10.14 Dark vs Light Mode

I'm a fan of it on my Retina Macbook Pro. On my 1440p Monitor on the other hand...

Something about it makes everything look really blurry. And theres a white border around windows that don't look good at all. Why can't Apple optimize for both retina and non-retina?

I'm still searching for images showing how is the messages app in dark mode. Can't see one yet... Its one of the most important app that I want in dark so if someone can show me a capture I'll appreciate. Thanks!

What about applications which don't support dark mode, will they stick out like a bright spotlight?

I’m pretty sure they’ll soon be updated to be more cohesive. My only problem with dark mode is when you open up say, a webpage eg google and it’s bright white. That’s my only bugbear with it so far.
