I agree with you. The only thing that has me concerned with the 10.5 Pro is the white spot problem.

I was concerned too, but mine is so far unaffected. I’m not sure if the original owner already had it replaced, but I’ve had it about 3 months and I’m not worrying. Unfortunately iOS doesn’t show battery health on iPads (why?) so I can’t estimate its age.

If it develops, I’ll certainly talk to Apple and I have a feeling they might swap it out with a refurb since it seems to be a manufacturing defect. Too many reports of exactly the same issue for it to be otherwise.

I can’t imagine using an iPad without the 4-way speakers for perfectly balanced audio. I think the should have the same setup on iPhones. I’d rather have better sound and some extra top-side speaker grills.

Actually if you had just ignored this thread instead of injecting an inane comment, it would have showed less interest on your part. You’re obviously interested enough to announce your disinterest even though no one asked or cares.

This is a great device for the kiddos and other normal folks who couldn’t care less about specs.

The thing is, I may not care about the device per se, but I do care that (aside from their premium devices) Apple keeps their industrial design language, specs and form factor so "safe" and tethered to the past it's virtually indistinguishable from a 4-5 year old device. Kiddos or "normal folks" or whatnot, Apple can and should do better to push the envelope and provide a delightful experience for ALL of their users.

Hope the tantrum makes more sense now.

Apple does not match Costco prices since they’re a membership Store. Maybe the specialist at the store did bit know better and he didn’t ask his manager or the manager was clueless too.
If you want a discount on the new iPad, just head to the Education store and order there for pickup.

How can you tell me "doesn't" when I stated that they did? Is it an arrogance thing, or do you like to feel like you're always right? The education pricing on the iPad Air is $20. Not enough of a savings.

At least Apple released a security patch for the original iPad Air and some older devices a couple weeks ago so maybe this will be supported a little longer than the 5 years Apple usually supports their hardware for.
