I bought a 3rd gen iPad on launch day. Let's not fool ourselves here: the gen 4 is just a minor speed bump with a new connector. It should probably be called the iPad 3S. Anyone who suddenly feels that their 3rd gen iPad is obsolete is simply gripped by gear acquisition syndrome. For all intents and purposes the 3 and 4 gen iPads are the same device.

Plus with the new connector you no longer have access to the Dock. I'm not sure how other people use their iPad's but I absolutely love being able to dock mine on my night stand to charge while I sleep.

It seems like all major technology companies these days are taking features away and it seems like no one notices except me.
