Hey 10.4.8 is out. downloading now. yeah boy.
Got it too, pretty large!
i want leopard though
Mines 22.3. PPC
Any word on Rosetta or OpenGL? I don't have any Intel machines here.
This is destined to pork my computer though, since I haven't backed up in a week. Very willie-nilly for me...
doesn't look like it:
EDIT: Actually it does look like it addresses some Rosetta issues:
Hmmm I wonder if this will fix the random shutdowns on my macbook?
211Mb on my fully updated iMac!
as tempting as it is to click Install, I'm going to wait and see what the early adopters say. I can't afford to have my macbook break now.
Safari seems faster FTW.
There also appears to be a security update for those still on Panther.
Hey it does. What was the build in 10.4.7?
Safari in 10.4.7 was Version 2.0.4 Build 419.3
Exactly the same in 10.4.8
I was joking, FWIW.
Someone always says Safari is faster after an update. Figured I'd get it over with.
That said, my update went fine. Now where's Aperture 1.5? [Moderator note: See news story]
thats what I'm talkin' 'bout. let's have it!
Thought as much, iGary....
Another one of those Classic MR-remarks:
- PowerBook G5 next Tuesday!
- What will happen after 10.4.9?
- Safari is faster!
147mb for Intel
22.3mb for PPC
Must be rosetta updates
CRAP..... this update doesn't introduce support for Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi raw format. lame++
No, I'm pretty sure that's a hardware problem. However, it's an officially recognized problem that Apple will fix for free. Be warned though, their repair depots are anything but snappy right now. I sent in my MBP for a logic board replacement (pretty standard repair for Apple these days) and it STILL says it's on hold awaiting parts.
Ok. So now where's the Aperture 1.5 download? Its about the end of the week now. Get on the ball Apple!
This really is the week of the updates...
(waiting for...) Aperture 1.5
Now... where are the MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo's...
211MB for my MacPro
It seems to update the AirPort card firmware on the Core (1) Duo iMac...can anyone find a change list? How about confirming this on a MB or MBP? Maybe we have 802.11n capabilities now?
Yay, this added RAW support for my Fuji S3
