For some reason, my 10.5.2 update in Software Update was only 180mb as opposed to 340mb+
Is this because i had installed every other previous update? I have already updated, soi don't think i am going to go back.

Depends on the machine. My MBP, running 10.5.1, was 180MB. Our new MBA, with it's "special" 10.5.1, was 340MB.

My MacBook was 341, not including the graphics update afterwards. I have installed every update before hand, so not sure why there are different sizes... Anyone know?

I found this on the Apple site, but it did not help me so I filled in the survey and suggested something to them.

"Again, you don't have to worry about figuring out which kind of update is best for you, just let Software Update preferences do the work." My question is what is SU does not work???? Then I do have to worry!

It seems that Software Update chooses the version you need based on what you have. My problem is that Software Update is not accessible behind a proxy, so I have to do a manual download - but which one??

There's only one combo update. It can be found here.

The Leopard Graphics update is here..

(Apple Support has recent downloads here.)

Downloaded the 343MB update, installed it no probs, and hey presto the Software Update now works, as do lots of apps which didn't previously.

Me, happy boy 🙂

Link to download the 180MB update

Hie there...I have a very bad internet connection at home. So was searching for a link from where I can download the 180MB update in office where I have good net speed instead of the 343MB combo update.
I already updated mine to 10.5.1 so need only the 10.5.2 180MB update and not the 340+ MB combo update.

In my MB C2D it was a 180MB d/l for the 10.5.2 update plus an additional 50MB d/l to upgrade the video drivers... = 230MB+ update :apple:
