Looks like no 10.5.2 for me then,

I tried just downgrading the router to only use 802.11g but it became so slow when using skype 🙁

I wanted bug fixes, I just like living on the bleeding-edge

Perhaps contact your Dlink support for help? Just outline to them that there might be some problems with the 635, since using a DIR-655 works well in n mode.

Pity I have to return the 655 today. 🙁 I'll contact Dlink on my end to see what happens.

It's 1.09 for hardware revision A. I believe there's a new hardware revision, and it's got newer firmware.

Yes, there is a "B hardware revision" with new firmware (see d-link ftp server).

My question is: I have a "A revision" dir-635. Can I install "B revision" firmware on my router? 😕

You can try, but I don't think it will work. The hardware revision probably means they fixed something.

Perhaps contact D-link and say your wireless devices suddenly fail to connect adequately when they were previously working, and see if they will RMA you a B-revision model?

I'm just thinking the new Airport drivers could have been draft 2.0 fixed, which version 1.09 of the dlink firmware doesn't support.

8054

I have a USR 8054 ans started experiencing similiar problems with my MBpro (first gen). The connection didn't cut but after say 20 minutes streaming video (from a wired macmini) the speed would drop to 39kb and stay there.

Apparently forcing it o use only G-Mode (instead of the default mixed B+G) did the trick.. or at least for now.
