just kidding! ;-)

ah yes the inevitable quote box showing the invisible white writing beneath. yes TheSpaz your right i did change the system version number and it is pretty easy to do... thought i'd trick some newbies before someone new about how you can change the numbers.
good eyes on the copyright years 😉 i should of looked into that. then it could of been plausible!

Can't wait till it is released - I really hope there is a performance boost in this update. Core Animation is pretty poor, and loading times for simple app's isn't too impressive either.

The one problem I have with that assumption; there has been IIRC only one seeding of 10.5.2 - unless Apple is going to be completely reckless (not the first time) and post a final of 10.5.2 - its doubtful.

Also, the restore DVD's are a custom DVD build, so they could easily add the necessary drivers to a 10.5.1 build - also, there have been releases of Mac OS X based on early builds which are released with machines, then find that the public one is a couple of builders newer which contain last minute fixes.

Just for the record, there are many of us out here who have very stable 10.5.1 systems. Mail.app has stability problems, but other than that my system is pretty rock solid in terms of stability. For me the only problem with upgrading has been stacks and airport, but other than those 2 problems my upgrade to leopard has been all positive.

Now this one made me laugh out loud!

Spoken like Steve Martin in The Jerk: I have a very stable system. Yep. Nothing wrong with my system at all. Except Mail. But that's it. Mail. And Stacks. But just those two things: Mail and Stacks. Other than that, my system is rock solid. Yep. Except for AirPort. But that's it: Mail, Stacks, and AirPort.

Do you understand what the term stable means? Stable means not crashing. All (yes ALL) electronic systems crash, it's just a matter of how frequently that determines whether a system is considered stable or not stable. Yes, mail OCCASIONALLY crashes, but hardly frequently.

I don't LIKE stacks, but they are totally stable. I never click on a stack and have the system hang and not produce the stack popup window.

Airport messed up my configuration settings and I have yet to put in the time to figure out what settings need to be changed in order to get my airport to connect, but airport isn't crashing or hanging. So my comment on airport says absolutely nothing about stability.

Why don't you try some reading comprehension lessons before you make an obnoxious comment that only makes you look foolish.

10.5.2 has to be imminent. I'm sure it contains the software for the macbook air multi-touch and for the new mac pros. I'm guessing tonight or tomorrow, and if not then, certainly within the next two weeks. Sooner would be nicer than later...

The demo Macbook Air units appear to be running 10.5.1, so that blows that theory out of the water. Too bad, I'm just about to downgrade my Mac Mini back to Tiger. Airport issues are driving me nuts.

yeah. where the hell is the update? hoping to fix my macbook airport issues. Damn phones have been nerfing my wifi connection (not a wireless channel issue or anything like that, I know what i'm doing)

i really hoope it releases today... ugh! been wiaitng since i heard it was seeding. could use a more stable up[date
