Went to login to www.equifax.com to check my credit report, I have had an account with them for the last few years, never had any problems accessing the site, but as with online banking 10.5.6 has broken this too, I am not able to login using Safari.

Bankers Hours

Was having the same problem with CapitalOne for over a week..

I gave my guest account on my Mac administrative privileges and went to the home folder/ and deleted the file in the /safari folder/ called "LastSession.plist"

After logging back into the Mac and disabling administrative privileges for guest account and re:starting Safari, my Capitalone Banking is working again...

This bug only happens with Banking on guest account...Try creating a new account on your Mac...
This was the solution for me... Everyone else may be different..

What's in your wallet?

Just tried Bank of America and it worked fine, i use mozilla anyway but wanted to see if it might have changed anything...sorry to hear about that hope they fix it soon for all you BB&T people.

Mozilla

Firefox did not work with online banking...All in all this latest update messed up online banking....

Send Apple your late fees

when are apple going to sort this out - I hate having to launch firefox just to check my bank stuff...

I wouldn't even be so sure it's Apple's doing. Banks often have notoriously poor websites -- the amount of WTFery that I've seen in various banking web apps would make your head spin. Sure, Mozilla and Safari can hack around it, but it's not as though BB&T's serving standard HTML/CSS and Safari's failing to render it properly...

Still not working with Paychex 401(k) site after yesterday's security update. The site was working perfectly pre 10.5.6. I've reported it via Safari a handful of times.

Have same problems with Safari beta 4 and BB&T, has not fixed anything since the last update which is odd since the BB&T site says Apple knows about the problem and is working on the fix .

Natwest ( UK ) does not work with Safari 4, and I can't revert back to Safari 3.

... I will use firefox.

I don't understand why this even happens.

1) Banks and other large organizations, in my experience, produce inordinately poor web apps. My money's on Natwest being at fault rather than Safari.

2) You can revert to Safari 3 by running the uninstaller that was provided with the Safari 4 beta.

10.5.7 seed says it fixes a problem in Safari that causes it not to accept certain cookies.

Wachovia.com not working

The last couple of times I've tried to access my Wachovia account online I haven't been able to get into Wachovia.com at all; I tried Safari and then downloaded and installed Firefox as well, and it doesn't work either. I think maybe the latest Safari update has messed me up? It's also screwed up my BT in one of my machines.

ETA: Well, I tried it again and voila, it magically worked! I suspect that the people at the bank were able to do something on their end, even though they told me that it was a problem with my ISP...... Funny how all of a sudden it works just fine......
