yes i do and my fan is acting up like crazy..its just there idle and the cpu temperature is 100% both of them... everytime i use it

Here are a few things that have helped me fix slowness i...
Disbale any third party system hacks or add-ons which maybe installed also can cause issues if not fully compatible with the new system version.

iMac 8,1- 24"/ 2.8 Ghz / 4GB RAM / 320GB@7200rpm here.

Was also experiencing mind-boggling slowdowns in Safari, Finder & previously zippy aaps when upgrading to 10.5.7.

Took robert05au's advise, removed SHADES and GROWL and now the slow as molasses activities & beach balls are gone!
