Mexico, eh?

So… did you go back to 10.7.2?

My Macbook is definitely running hotter after updating to 10.7.3 and Safari has "died" a couple of times.
All in all 10.7.2 was running fine for me, .3 not so much anymore.
Despite the obvious beta bugs and incomplete features, I though ML DP1 a lot steadier and snappier OS than Lion 10.7.3

So the random iCloud authentication errors are still there in 10.7.3. I keep getting imap.xxx.xxx.xx rejected the password for xxx@me.com. But I figured out a way.

When it asks for password, just cancel it. And then right click on the iCloud mailbox and select "Synchronize iCloud"

HUGE issues.. major...

So I've been reading and have been trying to find condolence in your posts but I think I am having the most issues out of everyone.

It started on Thursday, my mbp started acting really really slow (slower than usual) and then the screen would completely freeze. So I would restart again and again and again.. nothing would help the freezing. I would be able to surf or work on some designs in my adobe ps for a few minutes and then nothing, just the damn beach ball.

I currently have a 15" mbp with 2.66 GHz and 8GB of memory with a windows partition so I know it's not the system itself. It's only 2 years old. I went as far as to bring it in to the apple store and they did a complete restore of lion and wiped my hard drive. I restored and all the issues are back.

I'm at my wits end. My husband keeps saying we should just get another computer so I can continue working, (own my own business) but another damn apple is the LAST thing I want right now.

Someone, anyone if they have been able to find fixes for these freezings and slow downs please let me know. I am so exhausted and sad from the frustrations and I just want to be able to work seamlessly again without error.

Also, does anyone know why this is happening to my mail? It just hangs during the message import. Also an issue that popped up after the restore.

Looks like it's trying to download every message in your mail store.....it's going to take a while....did you let it sit for an hour or so and see if it progresses?

For me the experience seems to be the other way around. I was plagued with problems right from the start with Lion. It was usable most of the time but random app crashes and various little issues were starting to take their toll. But since I combo updated to 10.7.3, almost everything has been better. I cant explain it. I do agree though that generally speaking Lion has been more problematic than previous major OS releases, heres hoping Apple continue to work on fixes.

This has been my experience as well. Lion was infuriating for most of my experience with it. 10.7.3 combined with me "tweaking" less has led to better battery life and a overall nice experience now.

Part of my problem was changing things to "fix" annoyances that I am sure added to the problems.

This would naturally be my fix, but this time it didn't work. The time just grew and grew.. I feel like it's not communicating properly with one of the internal folders?
IDFK anymore.

If I switch to SL am I going to have to reinstall everything from back up again? And repartition my harddrive?

I'm having lot's of troubles too. When I start iTunes, which has never been a problem before, the application freezes before the window launches. When I use chrome exstensively, the entire computer freezes. Some times when I boot the menu bar takes forever to launch the icons. I've got an Intel 320 300GB SSD as start drive and the original 500GB HDD where the super drive used to be. It's a 2,6 i7 15" MBP with 8GB ram.

I booted to the recovery partition and ran disk utility on both drives. No problems.

When I boot the computer in safe mode the menu bar doesn't appear at all.

Everything is very much slower than before, but really, the big freezing problems started yesterday after I completed my new Time Machine backup to my Time Capsule. I recently moved and when I installed the new network I used AirPort utility to erase the drive in my Time Capsule and I just finished the new total backup. Emmidiatly after the backup it all went to hell.

Extremely frustrating!

What options do you have to check the system for faults except Disk Utility? I mean, I really don't want to have to uninstall or reinstall anything, but I do realize that it's inevitable.

Issues

I had someone upload 10.7.3 on my computer and i have been having some major issues:

- Track pad isn't working correctly
- Screen will randomly zoom in and out
- Mouse will move at random
- Windows will float on and off the screen

I have adjusted to pressing command 0 on a regular basis to adjust it back to normal zoom and even am having to do it now. Im not sure if I should reset this or what to do. Any suggestions?

Okay, I'm running 10.7.3 on my 13inch MBP with i5. I did a "clean" install of 10.7.3 and I haven't been having any problems however my coworker did an upgrade from SL to 10.7.3 and he's having all sorts of problems on his 15inch MBP. What's everyone's experience with this? Is it mostly people "upgrading" that are having problems? Jason

Hate to say it, but 10.7, 10.7.1, 10.7.2, 10.7.3 are all part of Lion- and Lion is by far a bad example that Apple can release an abysmal OS.

Clean install, migration, time machine whatever. I am testing ML on another partition on my MBA running SL, and I find pretty good in terms of just general performance.

I think Apple cannot get ML out fast enough, and leave Lion in the jungle-ashamed.
