4th gen ATV4K is another remote possibility. Just a ARM Update to support GPU enhancements, even a A17 pro would do.
I think September is more likely for that release. I also think the A18 is more likely as well. I don’t think Apple has enough binned A17 Pro stock to cover the iPad mini 7, 11th gen iPad and the next Apple TV 4K. Unless they plan to release the iPad mini 8 next year with an A18 Pro or A19. I don’t believe there’s enough A17 Pro stock to last until 2027.

Nahh, I don't want to see Tim standing there and #%?#@ - so I save my time and attention.
I don't need any Apple stuff now. I am good.
Wait to next hypes 😉

M4 has been available for 10 months now, isn’t it embarrassing that half the mac lineup has older processors? To make matters worse the more expensive and allegedly powerful models have M2 processors.
Apples M1 processors from 2020 are still fast enough for the average consumer.

It’s always nice to have a faster device, but the fact is that processors are now so fast for most people that if they didn’t know any better you could pass off a 2020 Mac to a consumer as todays greatest and not doubt it.

Only the most resource hungry applications and special features like certain AI tasks benefit from the latest processors.

I'd almost bet that there are no new products other than the iPhone SE and if there is something new it will be something like new colors for the iPhone 16 and/or 16 Pro.

Any spec-bumped or even completely overhauled Apple product wouldn't make sense to tease with "Get ready to meet the newest member of the family."

This has to be something new that isn't already a part of the current "family" of Apple products.

It's either Apple revamping the budget iPhone into the rumored "iPhone 16E". Which doesn't line up with previous SE releases. But since the EU pushed out iPhone 14 in late December 2024, Apple does need a new (USB-C) budget iPhone.

Or this is going to be the first preview of the rumored "Apple Command Center"-thing.

While I can't see Apple already launching this and doing so without doing a physical event, I struggle to pair the teaser and tagline for this new product with an iPhone SE.

If it's just an SE then that would certainly make for a slow start to 2025 for Apple. Especially considering how much hype Apple Vision Pro created in 2023 and early 2024.

I think this February 19th reveal is the first preview of the "Apple Command Center" with a date for an in-person hands-on event later this year (where the press gets to check it out).

Along with this preview, Apple will launch new versions of familiar products, probably iPhone SE 4, iPad 11, maybe more.

I'd rather have an event where they demonstrate AI fixing buggy code because it's actually trained on their own code, good and bad.

If they don't have time to fix things, have AI do it, show them the results and have them determine whether AI needs more work and whether their code isn't able to be fixed.

No.

iPhone is Apple's priority, and it would be something "embarrassing" if Apple couldn't meet launch demand every September.

But the rest of Apple's products, while very popular, don't see the same demand and thus can often wait.

Now there's talk of AI coming into Vision OS 2.4. Here is hoping that is really part of the announcement. It will ease the worry of those who invested pretty heavily and are hoping apple doesnt force an upgrade in hardware.

How about the best announcement of all. "Apple is reinstating 'It just works', we are focused on eliminating all major bugs before WWDC 25!"
I wrote an idea about exactly that here.

Excerpt:
Apple announces, in typical cryptic fashion, that the Apple polishing cloths will no longer be available until further notice.

Later, when it comes time for WWCD of that year, the theme is some clever variation on 'the year of polish' or 'our lineup has never been shinier' or something actually good…

Apple press release everything delayed! Don’t worry though more emoji’s in 18.4.

oh no event? Gotta be a video presentation tho right? Do they pre-announce press releases now? Don’t recall that but …

Apple appears to have enough upcoming product announcements to justify a full event this month, yet all signs indicate these reveals will be handled through a series of press releases instead.

There are a multitude of rumors from reliable sources about specific announcements in the coming weeks, so here's everything that Apple could have feasibly included in a hypothetical February event:

  • iOS 18.4 preview (beta expected next week)
  • New iPhone 16 color option
  • iPhone SE (fourth generation)
  • Apple's first custom modem chip (debuting in iPhone SE)
  • iPad (11th generation, A17 Pro or A18)
  • iPad Air (11- and 13-inch, M3 or M4)
  • Redesigned Magic Keyboard for iPad Air
  • MacBook Air (13- and 15-inch, M4)
  • AirTag (second-generation)
  • Vision Pro-related announcement (hardware refresh to add the M5 chip with Apple Intelligence support, a price drop, a significant software update, or something else)
  • Apple Command Center smart home hub preview (launch later in 2025)

Tim Cook's recent social media teaser for an Apple "launch" on February 19 is widely expected to relate to the fourth-generation iPhone SE. While the post confirms at least one product unveiling, it also suggests the company will not be holding a full-fledged event in the next few weeks.

Historically, Apple has used press releases to introduce products when the updates are more iterative, but the company has also hosted entire events for relatively modest announcements, such as the "Scary Fast" event in October 2023, which only saw the reveal of the M3 MacBook Pro and iMac models.

Several new devices are widely expected to be announced soon, including the fourth-generation iPhone SE, the new MacBook Air with the M4 chip, and updated iPad Air and entry-level iPad models. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman says that the M4 MacBook Air should launch within weeks, while Apple's supply chain has been preparing for the arrival of new iPads. Software references have already confirmed the existence of many of these products, so launch is almost certainly right around the corner.

Apple has occasionally held February events, but they are rare. In recent years, the company has preferred March for spring product announcements, as seen with the 2022 event that introduced the green iPhone 13, third-generation iPhone SE, Mac Studio, and Studio Display. If Apple had opted for a February event this year, it would seemingly have had a more substantial series of announcements than some of its previous keynotes.

i personally don't think it could be a software update for vision pro. that's wwdc's job.

This isn’t happening till WWDC

I'm guessing Apple might be introducing a completely new product and this might be Tim Cooks's Steve Jobs iPhone moment before he retires.

With every keynote or whatever you like to call it.
Every Apple dedicated website, and YouTubers go nuts about what Apple’s going to unveil.

Tim said a new member of the family = new product!
But it won’t be ready, remember the infamous AirPower?
So probably the home-device.

Alongside the iPhone SE/16E.
And perhaps Airtag 2.

The invite looks like an Airtag but that wouldn’t be sufficient to hold an keynote/event!

Would have liked to see an Apple event for the new SE along with MacBook Air and iPad Air. Looks like there will only be one product announcement on Wednesday. But still expecting to see the other two within the next few weeks.
