10 Gbps home internet

The overwhelming majority simply have no idea and I think it's a perfectly reasonable statement say that most people spend much more on Internet than they need to by choosing faster Internet that they don't really need.

My justification for the 2G service is that it was a free upgrade from the 1G fiber connection. The upgrade was not a complete surprise as the PON has a 2.5G Ethernet port - the surprise was the speed being upgraded without asking for it along with no increase in monthly charge.

I was paying 31€ per month for 1 Gbit/s and now I pay 27€ for 8 Gbit/s. I decided to invest in the adapter at 126€ which is expensive to be honest but I can afford it. I understand for 99% of the “populace” it’s “useless” but I’m genuinely interested to see how fast it can go, especially with Usenet.

I just received it, it is a fast boy!!

I'll see in a few days how it will behave. I'll have to check CPU usage also but it goes too fast and my free space is dying already. This was a test with a 7GB file and then a 92 GB file.
