Mail Badges

If you're tired of unread Mail badges popping up when you have read all your emails, iOS 27 addresses the issue. The Mail app badge is now less likely to show an inaccurate number of unread emails.

šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ performance feature 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. No. It’s a bug.

Really grateful that they're improving iOS, but it would be interesting to see benchmark comparisons against iOS 18 rather than 26. I really wished that they optimised Tahoe for Intel Macs. Intel integrated graphics isn't meant to be driven this hard.

I hope it will be a good update for my 13mini. I am still on iOS18, as I iOS26 is said to run not very well on my phone (and I don’t like the glass look).
I have two 13 minis. After months with iPadOS 26 on three iPads, I grew accustomed to Liquid Glass and recently did a clean install of 26.5 on my blue mini. It works fine. My yellow mini without a SIM is on 27. It works finer. Liquid Glass is more polished and the icons are less blurry.

30% faster App loading?

This is an absolute disaster. After years of fake benchmarks (like App loading races) created by sore losers sick of the iPhone winning all the time and now Apple puts a nail into the coffin.

Eagerly awaiting the new goalposts that define how fast a smartphone truly is.

Happy that my 11 Pro Max is getting one more update and hopefully a solid one.

Since migrating to iOS with a iPhone 4 from a razor flip phone I have kept all text messages since then especially from my deceased brother and can search all the way back to March 2011 with his conversations and attachments, hoping that indexing will continue to preserve that archive.

I still can't forgive apple discontinued iPad Pro 11 inch first gen and didn't give it iPadOS 27!! iPadOS 26 is so damn laggy. Apple used to not cutting down device support on bug fix updates!

I’ve been running the iOS 27 PB for a while on my 14 Pro and must say: good job Apple, the QoL improvements are highly welcome and quite noticeable even (especially?) on this old iPhone šŸ‘

I couldn’t care less about most of the AI "features" that aren’t available here in EU anyway. But I’ve said that before, haven’t I?

Also on a 14 Pro. Gonna see how long it can last. On OS27, I’ll wait till public release though for battery’s sake. Looking forward to it based on everyone’s reviews so far

This is what I like to see personally. More time and energy spent on optimization and less on flashy features.

Well done Apple!
It definitely seems snappier already on my 16 pro max.

Running 27 beta on iPad Pro M5, the above phone, and watch. So far haven't noticed anything showstopping.

THIS! EXACTLY! ā˜ļøā˜ļøā˜ļø
Yep. My girlfriend's 13 mini was on iOS18 for a while, while my 13 mini was on 26. Difference in just opening and closing apps was very noticeable. And going back to non-blurry icons also was a blessing. Hope iOS27 gets back the iOS18 snappiness.

Would be nice to have the option to manually force a complete reindex of Search but I doubt we'll ever see one... As it is now there are lots of stale entries from iCloud, and I've never figured out how to remove them.
