Excited to see the upcoming iPhones this year, especially the Pro models. Not sure about the iPad Pro, it might be released this year. Maybe even the M5 chip might get announced at WWDC.

Very eager to finally replace my 1st gen ATV 4K and 1st gen APP. ATV still great, no complaints, but it’s time, while the ANC in the APP is shot, I was going to get the 4th gen AP w/ ANC but will wait another 6 months.

ATV and APP are both great products and I can highly recommend.

It has been several years since "new software" from Apple could be called a bonus. It's time for a macOS update that focuses entirely on performance improvements and bug fixes instead of new emojis and marketing bu11sh!t (e.g. Apple "Intelligence" that makes your user experience worse instead of better).

It's time apple dropped the yearly os updates, in my humble opinion. Update them every two or three years, and like you said, spend more time fixing bugs.

But all I really wanted was a major fix to Siri and a fix to spell-check.

As much as I like asking Siri questions and being told “you’ll need to unlock your iPhone first”…it probably needs an overhaul.

I’m afraid ’faster / more powerful’ don’t really hack it with me. What can I do that’s new / exciting?
Software. We have no idea what Apple will do with new hardware features. An A18 Apple TV doesn’t sound exciting, I know. But Apple might unlock its potential by allowing it to play iPhone games that are listed as controller compatible with no dev input. This would massively expand its gaming potential. Microsoft might even get off their arses and bring Game Pass streaming to it.

Also the Mac Mini ‘only had faster chips’ last year and it turned out to be the best Apple product in a decade. As with everything, we should reserve judgement until it’s released and we’ve had a play in the Apple Store at the very least. Some of the other posts in this thread have jumped the shark a little bit, don’t you think?

i, to honest, will simply wait for next nvidia generation of video cards on 2nm process, and will step over to windows.
It's shameful that after 4 years of having superior hardware, Apple didn't invest in having all major gaming titles on its M1 (enz) platform.

all these new product announcements are pretty much directed to 'content makers', and having only that cohort of users in mind.

Also intel started making 3nm processors since this year, which makes windows laptop last 20 hours.. and they have ARM windows.

I really don't see how apple would keep up with the competition on longer term without making user base wider (and that's only possible if they introduce "serious" gaming on Mac).

and all these minor announcements and 'evolutionary' redrawing of MacOS lead to product degradation in the end.

too bad that Apple has evolved from 'likable' company torwards pure corporate monster that is not willing (or not being able to innovate) in order not to disappoint their investors. At the same time milking its customers left right and center.

I'm afraid best days of Apple are long gone looking at where IT industry is today. It will just take a couple of years.

hence all these "new product" announcements are useless in my mind (or better say " a tick box " excersise to stay afloat).

Just give it another 2-4 years.

greets,
peter

and they are not "products"... these are rather 'facelifts'.

there are no new products since years !

Why do so many MacRumours readers have trouble spelling hyena? Lucky they didn’t follow up mountain lion with macOS hyena, that would have been a train wreck.
I don’t know man. For some like me English is not my language. And it’s not an animal that lives in the US I presume))

With a new M4Max Studio on its way, the only thing left on my wish list is an updated Studio Display (would be nice if it were a 32").

Of course, I always enjoy OS upgrades. I love seeking out the "little things" that don't get much attention during the keynote.
I was so close to buying one when Best Buy had them on sale but held off hoping it gets a refresh soon. Couldn’t stomach paying that much for a 60Hz display. Really hoping that gets a bump, otherwise I’ll be looking at alternatives.
