Is the back pocket the third most common? So much better to put it right on top of your heart like the second most common place.
Reduce white point is also good choiceTurn your screen brightness all the way down, especially at night
And again, I have to assume nobody measured any of these? They’re all just guesses.
Don’t worry about and turn off all useful things, just because they give you a theoretical extra minute of battery life.
Most of the times the iOS update has nothing to do with battery life.Do what you want, there will always be that one iOS update that will destroy your battery.
Do you realize that 100% after two years is weird ? You either have a bad reporting battery or your battery was like 110% of designed capacity when new (but iOS cannot report anything above 100% so it stays at 100% for a while).11. Use an iPad at home.
12. Use an Apple Watch.
(Battery health on my 13 mini is still 100% after two years)
Yep, this threads always make me smile. Admittedly someone could not need some features, but to turn everything off is not desirable anyway. These posts are so ridiculous. “Turn off all the new features and your phone battery will last longer!”
More accurate than the watch ? Why ? Apple Watch has the same step counting sensors than the iPhone, and more…If you carry your phone in your pocket the way most people do it acts as a step counter and is more accurate than the watch. Not sure of anything else it does.
A good idea. And then sit on it 😅Is the back pocket the third most common?
Your iPhone has an issue, because iPhone 16 PM has an excellent battery lifeMy iPhone Pro Max 16 has the worst battery life of any iPhone that I have owned.
There are many on the web.Article title says get most out of your iPhone battery then lists day to day battery percentage tips..what about tips for long term longevity?
One tip I have for this is use a slow usb c- usb A charging cable when charging overnight…any confirmation or studies showing this helps? My intuition says it does, but I’m no expert.
It definitely has. When I updated it last summer (I think it was 17.6.1.), my battery life immediately got worse. I had to charge my iPhone twice a day, which I never had to do before. I tried every fix I could find online and nothing worked. Then iOS 18 came out and tada, it fixed everything and my battery life went back to normal. Most of the times the iOS update has nothing to do with battery life.
This is true for every CPU/NPU/GPU intensive taskSome very useful tips. Connecting to WiFi does help. As of now Apple Intelligence or at least Image Playground consumes a lot of power. Hopefully that improves.
That's why I use carpenter jeans. The little side pocket on my right knee is a perfect fit for a phone. The tracking is probably more accurate there too, and it is easier to get my phone out while sitting.I keep mine far away from my pockets. Not trying to zap my reproductive organs.
What’s the point of having a phone if you are not going to use it?11. Use an iPad at home.
12. Use an Apple Watch.

You use it for the phone aspect and anything else when you are out of the house. While at home, you can take advantage of a larger screen like an iPad or Mac.What’s the point of having a phone if you are not going to use it?
In addition to what @Andy_2341 said, an Apple Watch requires an iPhone. I also want my primary number available to the iPad and Mac for SMS texts. My cellular Apple Watch allows me to leave my iPhone (and wallet, thanks to Apple Pay) at home most of the time. Granted, if I didn't work from home, my iPhone would get more screen time. What’s the point of having a phone if you are not going to use it?
how is it worth it other than maybe feeling satisfying? does it increase the speed or accuracy of you typing?Good tips but not sure turning off haptic feedback is worth it. I know they say it impacts battery life, but I really like it. Unless you’re typing tons and tons of text on your phone I think there are lots of better things to cut out first.
