I realise that there's a front page article but I wanted to see if there's anything specifically worthwhile in this for iPhone owners since it's "all about iPad"? All I've read was that you can change the notes font but other than that is there anything new? Can you print from the phone?

Seems like I cannot install the BETA even as a developer. Shoots me out an Error (10) on my iPhone 4. Fail.

I think AirPrint is only for Ipad

I figured that just meant that to use Airprint the MacOS beta needs to be installed, or something. I haven't installed it and 4.2 installed fine on my iPad using iTunes.

I did update the SDK before trying though, so maybe that's Jare's problem.

SDK is up to date, so is the IPSW from Apple Dev Center. Guess I'll pass on this beta.

will be cool when more airplay devices are ready. since they are making home audio units airplay ready now. soon will follow hopefully, like maybe car stereos receivers. stream instead of bluetooth. bluetooth always seemed like a step down in audio quality. i see some car receivers are making pandora ready units now that stream using your iphones 3g net work. wonder if those can stream other content as well.

I was all excited about AirPrint, but hearing how it works and how it's not all that different from existing apps in the store has killed that enthusiasm. So no, nothing in 4.2 so far that I have to have upon its release. Unless they decide to release iWork for the iPhone. :)
