Weekly Photo Contest (3rd October - 10th October): Aged

Rules:

1. You may only submit one photo per contest.

2. The contest runs for exactly one week, from the first time stamp of the first post in the thread (this will be made by the winner of the previous week's contest).

3. Please refrain from commenting on the photos submitted in the contest. A good photograph is one that can appeal to someone who may not know much about the technical aspects of photography, so it would be best if the judge isn't swayed by someone else's opinion of the photograph.

4. The judge will choose his/her favorite at the end of the week, place a post listing it, and include a short synopsis of why he/she chose that photo. The winner is then responsible for choosing a new topic and starting a new contest thread, which will again run for exactly one week.

I like the colours and repeating shapes, but overall I'm not to keen on the composition, I'd really like to see more of the textures, or maybe even a lower stance point?

I like the shot and the composition, can't help but wonder what it would look like in colour?

I wish the train was by itself (I know it was out of your control!) Perhaps a tighter crop would help? Would love to see that thing going down the tracks.

I really like this, I feel it has a story behind it, you can almost feel the atmosphere and conversation. How long ago was this taken?

I'm sorry this image does nothing for me as far as composition or lighting goes. Perhaps a closer shot focusing on the glass texture?

Love this as well, I would really love to see the textures exaggerated!

Again unfortunately the composition does nothing for me, perhaps a lower and closer stance at the golden hour might produce better colours and a more even exposure?
