Should I eat a brownie? Or wait?

I'm not sure if anyone has any info or have heard any rumors on how good the brownies are in the kitchen at my work. But maybe you can help me get off the fence and finally decide if I should eat one of the brownies or wait? I hear there might be better brownies next week and well, I'm just scared that I'll eat a brownie this week only to have brand new brownies with sprinkles or something come out immediately after my return window closes.

Arrrgh.... what should I do?:confused::confused::confused:
 
The resale value on used brownies is very, very poor. So don't count on upgrading later if you buy now. :D
 
Didn't Betty Crocker announce there would be brownies with higher chocolate resolution in January? Is this true???

Never eat the first set of brownies out of the oven. The recipe hasn't really been tested on that first batch, and nobody really knows if substituting brown sugar for white is going to achieve that smoothness that was promised. I always wait for at least the 2nd batch, when these issues have already been identified. :)
 
Brownies here are very expensive, for what you get. And the pastry chef only serves you the brownies he thinks you need.

The brownies from the leading suppliers are a better value.

Yeah, but the pastry chefs brownies are so beautiful! They're smooth and creamy, yet no overly rich. I'm willing to wait a bit longer if extra creamy, richy, smoothy brownies are on the horizon.
 
Remember that even if they make a new batch of brownies next week, you will want to wait ample time for them to be tasted and thoroughly reviewed by a trusted brownie critic. The question really becomes do you want to wait THAT long, when you can eat the brownies already available that have excellent reviews.
 
Bottom line, if you're hungry for a brownie now, then eat one now.

If you wait, you're missing out on all that chocolately goodness and you don't know for sure that they'll be better next week.

They might even take out an ingredient or two in next week's batch. :eek:

Nice, this is spelling it out nice and clear and is really the question I should be asking myself. Ok, I'll eat a brownie now!

But do I eat one from the crust or from the middle?????
OMG I'll never figure this out!!!!!
 
Shop-bought brownies are just for noobs who want their desserts to look good.

I can bake my own brownies for half the price and add as much sugar and chocolate as I want, without being restricted to whatever the baker says I should eat. They may not look pretty, but I baked a batch last week that had twice the calories of any pre-baked brownies.

That all depends on where you want to eat the brownie. The ones from the crust are easier to eat on the move, as the crust helps to keep them together... but you lose some of the smooth chocolatey insides. The ones from the middle should be eaten right there, as they will drop crumbs.

There are things you can buy though, called plates, that will allow you to take brownie from the middle and still eat it at your desk.

What a mistake. The vanilla brownie is coming out next month and it’s going to be sold by Entenmann’s.

No...they've promised a vanilla brownie for MONTHS, but it has yet to be released due to baking issues. Perhaps in the Spring 2011.
 
Just be careful how you hold it, or you will drop crumbs. I tried to complain, but the chef says that all brownies are like that, and that I was simply holding it wrong. You can buy a plate to keep the crumbs from dropping, but it's not included with the brownies (you'd think they should at least include a napkin).
 
I think if you wait until the new MBPs come out, you'll be able to search the internet faster for a better brownie recipe. So, wait!!!!
 
Brownies with fruit in them? That's so 90's.

Ok, final question, the 12" brownie or 9"? Is the extra 400 calories worth it?
