Everything breaks "over time" but SSDs have longer lifespan than HDDs.

If you get a 10K drive it'll likely destroy your laptop, not to mention the fact that it'll wear out faster and will consume more power. The only reason to get a 10K HDD is increased speed, not increased lifespan. Go with an SSD and you'll get both.
 

A buddy of mine did a test build of a server using 4 of them in RAID0. Performance was incredible but so was the amount of heat they generated. The standard cooling in whatever Dell box they were using couldn't handle it.

To put it into a 13" laptop first you'd need to somehow integrate a PCIX slot and then install the water cooling system from the other funny thread.

Liquid nitrogen is where it's at man ;) So what you'll add 4 inches to the thickness of the laptop :rolleyes:
