MicroCenter rolled out the $999 sale again today. In-store only, limit 1. This sale went on for months with the previous generation. Just a heads up for anyone about to buy one.....

Yes, you have 7 days to obtain the $100 difference if you have the receipt and credit card.

We have a store in Denver, I can ride my scooter there...
Temps are in the 70's today so will be a nice ride...:D
Bob

just walk into any retailer that price matches, and buy it there. Im doing that at Best Buy. Best buy is awesome. $1000 for the macbook + No tax (business purchase) + 18 months no interest. Time to go shopping for a SSD :D

I bought a house and 2 weeks later it dropped $40k in value.

Do you think somebody will write me a check for $40k?

Please tell me you're just trying to troll and you really aren't this stupid.

Almost any retailer will give you the difference in what you paid vs a sale price they had if you had purchased it in a certain amount of days. Some places are even as much as 30 days.

I called Microcenter and they talked to a manager and he said he'd ok it. I bought it 11 days ago.

Walked into Microcenter after work and the manager on duty said since it's past the 7 day return policy (without getting hit with a 15% restocking fee) he can't do it. After telling him how much I spend with them instead of newegg or amazon he finally ok'd it.

Apple Store

Took my scooter down to the Apple Store & sat in front of a MacBook Pro for a half hour listening to the Beetles... :D
I finally walked up to a fellow in the Geek section to get my questions answered...
Before leaving I had a fellow check with the upper management whether they would MATCH the Micro Center ($200 off) pricing...
They said they would...

The Micro Center special $200 off deal expires on Friday, 4/8/11...

Back To School...

While the MicroCenter $999 deal is the best price you'll see all year on the 13" MBP by istself, I think the Back To School promo at the Apple Store during the summer is a better deal. You essentially spend $100 (+ tax) more and get an iPod Touch and wifi printer.

I'm hoping MicroCenter continues this deal through the beginning of the B2S promo, and then Apple will still match it. That's be pretty sweet...

Really? Where did you get this info?

Any body else able to get apple to match this price? My local best buy (culver city) refused to do a price match.

Thinking of selling my 2010 2.66GHz 13" for this MicroCenter deal, worth the hassle?

For me, yes it's usually worth the hassle.

I get email promotions from Micro Center & it read good from 4/5/11 to 4/8/11...
"PRICES GOOD 04/05/11 - 04/08/11"

I am trying to scare up the bucks before this Friday....:D

what was their explanation that they couldn't price match it? It states right in their policy that they do.

I got mine (i purchased it 3 days ago) price matched at best buy.
