I like all the "soft-feeling" cases but I'm looking for a red/dark red one. Elago doesn't have one :(

I don't like any of the plastic or rubber feeling cases.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

#8 in my list has a red color available.

First off, great thread. I'm a new iphone user and obviously want to keep things minimal but with good protection. Can you tell me which ones on the list have a raised lip to keep the front from touching if I put the phone down face down? I'm not always considerate enough to put my phone face up when I take it out of my pocket so not having that raised lip is a deal breaker.

It kinda looks like #3 has that option but some say that it is so slight that manufacturing errors lead to it being non-existent.

Nice pictures.
I ordered what appears to be the same case as you. Can't beat the price ($4.44). I think it may even be better than the Desmay. I should be getting it soon. I will post pictures here as well.

Yeah I guess, but how can you tell so easily!?

IDK where else to get a red case though :(

I normally look at the area around the volume and camera cut outs to see how thick the back and sides are.

I have the SGP Ultra Thin Air in white. It does not fit the phone perfectly. At first I thought it did, because it has a slightly tacky pad on the inner back to hold the phone absolutely still. However, after a couple weeks I realized that when you push the lock button firmly, or push the cable in the bottom firmly it moves up or down about 1mm.

I have dropped my phone a few times, two of those times right on the bezel/edge of the display. The case saved the phone both times with the tiny wrap around portion.

Other thoughts: A white iPhone5 looks boring with this case on. It creaks a little (after a few weeks, not initially), if you squeeze the phone when held vertically.

I just got a Luvvitt Crystal case today and, so far I Luvvit! The SGP was easier to hold, due to the slightly curved nature of the back and the texture. The Luvvitt case looks and fits better.

I think the SGP "recall" might be because they altered the size of the case slightly on later versions. I have pictures of both if anyone would like to see them!

That doesn't look very slim (maybe because it's clear). Does it feel slim?

Well that is the Luvvitt clear case. Yes it is slim, the macro photos blow it out of proportion. Unlike the Spigen Ultra Thin Air, it has squared corners, which aren't so nice to hold. Is the Spigen the one you were interested in?

Anyway... the search continues...

Received my Desmay case last week. This is the worst case I ever purchased. Enough said.

I've stuck with the cheap Desmay clone. It's the probably the slimmest out there.

My Desmay for 4s is broken from taking a fall. But they don't sell the Desmay for 4s anymore.... Any suggestion for alternative?

I've read on here about some major quality control issues with them. I'm glad I didn't buy from Desmay and instead got the same thing from a $4 Desmay eBay clone.

Sorry, your link just takes me to the home page. Is it possible to get it linked to the product again? Want to buy that case.
Cheers.

Great thread. I'm sorry to say, I've spent money on half of the cases mentioned here. The problem with most so-called thin cases is that they're either glossy (which leads to scratches and fingerprints) or they're not actually that thin.

My fav so far, which isn't on this list but which I've seen quite a few good reviews about, is the Caudabe Veil. Hands down the thinnest case I've tried and the price can't beat. I've got the white iPhone now and the frost version of the case truly doesn't feel like a case is even on it. Had it for a month now and it's still going strong.

Here's the link on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=%22Caudabe%3A+the+veil%22

Yep, I'm a sucker for thin cases and have been happy with my Caudabe Veil as well. Well made product and the customer service is fantastic as well. Prompt and never feel like they're trying to dismiss me as fast as they can in the two or three times I've had an issue.

Looking for some newly released slim cases. Anybody find any ones not mentioned in this thread?
