I wear glasses and use the mini without any problems without the text being bold or zoomed. Someone with weak, aging eyes using the mini may have trouble using default settings.
Same here... granted I am not too old yet (43), but I do wear glasses and have no problem at all reading text on my mini without squinting- even if I am holding it quite a ways from my face.

I really was surprised by that- I expected it to be worse.

In my opinion, the mini has a much better display for viewing and reading than the SE 2020.

Any thoughts on actual eye strain (like real eye strain that someone has to recover from) by using a smaller phone like this vs a bigger one? It is a weird situation in that this screen is not THAT small, nor is the text on it compared to my 11.

Same for me. Its just too small. I was a bit misled about the screen size. I assumed 5.4 would be basically the same as the old plus phones but its the width that makes a difference. This thing is thinner than the 6/7/8 series i think. Which just makes text too small.

I also cant use the normal 12 as it causes my hands to cramp with the squared edges (didn’t have this issue with the mini). So it looks like I’m sitting out this new design. I may try the normal 12 again in 6 months or so.
