I did actually check if it would fit in my shorts pocket for those two weeks of summer we get in the (north) UK. It does ! I just need to remember to pick it up from wherever I place it in order to facilitate sitting down.
While it's the largest iPhone ever made, it's not THAT much larger than plus models. If you haven't had a plus or max sized phone before, sure it's an adjustment. 12 PM fits in my pants pockets, napoleon pocket on jackets. No issues at all. Add to that, I've lugged my 8+ around for the last 3 years and haven't found one single instance where I've had issues with it in any pocket.

But can you sit down with it in the front pocket? That’s the issue I remember from having the 11 pro max. Would always go out to eat or whatever, and then have to put the phone on the table it was so large. Don’t want that again. Really 😂
It fits comfortably in my jeans or even track pants pockets, just as my 8 Plus has for the last 3 years.
It’s a big phone, I know, but the way people talk about it sometimes you’d think it was an iPad!

Unless you wear skinny jeans, no issues with putting it in the front pocket.
Fits in all my front pockets with no problems so far. Would only be an issue if I used a very bulky case. Which I don't. I'm using a silicone one.
Pants pocket. I’m 6’3 270lbs, i dont wear skinny pants/jeans. The 12 Pro Max will fit in ALL of my pants, shorts, and jeans pocket comfortabl.
I think there’s a “uncoolness” factor for belt clips but assuming you can wear a belt, they’ve always seemed to be a decent solution. They also double as a platform for putting your phone onto a table if you’re paranoid about that sort of thing.

I mostly wear pants that have decent sized pockets. Never had an issue with Pro Max sized phones. My favorite casual pants are 5.11 Stryke cargo pants. These have huge pockets that fit the pro-max well.
Front or back pockets. When in front pocket, the girls seems to be more impress for some reason....
I use a two-wheel cart when going a distance with it, otherwise a duffel bag for around the house.
It fits just fine in my pockets. I don't understand why everyone is making a huge deal about this size. It's only slightly larger than previous Plus and Max models.
