Since 14.5 stuttering has gone, however I see as a trade-off for this a general mildly increased slowness in UI performance and animations at system level.

i research some apple 12 pro devices and i must ask you guys if you know... Apple produces the iphone's in its own factory or has someone else produce it for them ex. (TSMC).

My hardware of Iphone 12 Pro Max is D54pAP. What does this stand for? Does hardware affect stuttering?

I have an iPhone 11 and am on 14.6b3. The stutter is still there. I have removed all widgets and now it is slightly more tolerable. Which defeats the purpose of iOS 14 as it was the shining new feature.
And the issue has been there on my phone since I bought it 6-7 months ago.

After a few weeks.To see stuttering again...WTF, IP12PRO MAX, OS14.5.1...I don't think it's solved yet...

I don't know what Apple is doing in this IOS14 release but I really think their developers don't know what they are doing.
its an interesting phenomenon that it's only done to a small group.

I agree with you that this is a moronic mistake, but it can be found in today's Apple products, and it's very interesting.

Happy that 14.5 fixed the swipe up to home stutter for me but disappointed to see that there's still a stutter (a slight delay and black flicker) when selecting 'more' in apps listed in 'Upcoming Automatic Updates'. This feels like whatever the same underlying issue was causing the swipe to home.
