Excellent question! We were all so consumed thinking about when CBS would next re-run Becker that I'm not sure anyone has thought about it.

Agreed... I am just hoping that with everything that happened with the iPhone 4 leak they are being extra secretive.
iPhone 4S (iPhone 4 Design, Internal Spec Bump! and I'm ready to get very disappointed. Same thing like when the 3GS came out.

Why does a redesign determine whether it is a "4s" or a "5"?
The iPhone looked pretty much the same for 3 generations. The iPhone 4 had a very new look. Aside from a larger screen what is the actual point of a redesign? I don't care if it's redesigned or not, I am more interested in what's inside the phone. Specs mean more than looks to me, especially when I am dropping $300.

Because when we say "4S" the general consensus is a phone that looks just like the 4 with bumped internals. They can very well release that device, but call it the iPhone 5. Thus, the two separate options.
People need to stop getting so hung up over the name of the phone - like it really matters. They could release an iPhone 4S that has a 4 inch screen with a thinner design.
