Do you think Apple is planning on releasing a 128gb iPhone 5S mid-cycle (January-March range 2014). The reason I ask is because they added a 128GB iPad storage option in late January this year, just a few months after it was launched.
Do you think Apple will do the same thing but for the iPhone early next year?

Can't stand always having to delete my apps and music every time I sync.
Still on the 64GB 4S.

No. The 128GB iPad was something that apparently a select niche market wanted to store a lot of stuff. I'm guessing maybe hospitals who wanted to use this to store a TON of high-quality images might have run out of space at 64GB.

Even if I'm completely wrong, following that same pattern it would cost $499. I'm stretching it to pay $399 for a subsidized phone. That's the limit. Honestly, I may talk myself out of it and into a 32GB model in a week.

I'm guessing a larger screen model will hit in a year, which will mean a little more room in the device to add more flash, which will mean 128GB at $399. Of course I thought by now Apple would've moved past the 16GB model at $199, but I was quite wrong.

No. They want people using iCloud and buying additional storage space when they run out of space.

Most airlines have wifi now.

Sure, most AIRLINES do, but most AIRCRAFT do not. Emirates only has wifi available on the A380. United is still installing Wifi on the majority of their equipment in the next 2 years if that. Their 737, 757, 767, 777, and 787s have 0% install base while their TWO Airbus aircraft are between 22% and 65%. These numbers are roughly in line with the rest of the industry. This doesn't solve my problem when I fly to Asia every month. I'd rather have a 128GB iPhone than pay out the ass for international flight wifi anyway.

Moral of the story, think before you make sweeping generalized statements.

Just about every good phone on the market is more than $500 unsubsidized.

yes but a 128gb iphone would be $499 SUBSUDIZED. I don't care though, I would give them my money in a heartbeat. I would even pay $599 for a 256gb iphone. :apple:
